La Cocine de Ana's is on a little street behind Rin Rin's Pizza. It's pretty much like an American Deli; you just walk around, take a look at what they have that day and place your order for how much you want of each thing. I always get my order to go and take it home, but there is some... More

Ana is an institution in the Golden Zone. It is mostly for Mexicans on the run and tourists who don't feel like cooking lunch, a buffet of regional favorites sold by weight. You can eat in the crowded room or take it back to your hotel. Tip, go early if you want your food warm and your selection not sold... More

Eat in or take out. Food is weighed and priced accordingly. Everything from salads to desserts with such entrees as birria, burritos, tostados, etc. A very busy place, especially among the locals.

We were on a cruise and a "snow bird" told us about this place on a local A/C bus. We had the smoked Marlin with veggies and a huge salad for under $4 a plate. It was one of the best lunches we've had. We are going back to Mazatlan again in January so we are definitely going to stop... More

We had a "free day" while in Mazatlan with a group of 12, so this was on my agenda, having been here and eaten here, several times, and gotten take-out paella here, back in 2007. Ana, and the food, are the same as back then. It's a good place for a big lunch. See my pictures of 2 plates of... More

The only reason I gave Ana's four instead of five is for its location and procedure to get/pay for your food. Its on a back street one block off the main drag - sort of hidden. Doesn't open until noon. The procedure: set up like a cafeteria. You pick up to-go containers or plates/bowls and then go down the line... More

Ana's food is ALWAYS good, only complaint is that you must get there by 1 pm or there is little food left to choose from. Most of the time long lines....but worth the wait. Prices are VERY GOOD!
