We were seated in a private room with a large long table toward the back of the restaurant, this was great as it allowed us to let down our hair and be loud. This restaurant specializes in the serving of baby goats, 28 days old to be exact, which they explain is what makes the quality of the meat best.... More

While you are in Monterrey, Mexico it's a most to step into this place. You`ll find some of the best traditional regional cuisine; Cabrito al Pastor ( baby goat ) as well as excellent meat cuts. Don´t miss al entrees.

This place is definitely a local favorite. Attended with my uncle who is a local, & my sister on a Friday night. We all ordered grilled cabrito ( goat). There are different parts of the goat to order. The leg is drier, but more meat. Then there's the shoulder & the breast that are juicier & plentiful. It came with... More

Everyone loves cabrito. Chances are, that if you're in Monterrey you've heard of this place. After years of hearing about it I found myself in Monterrey once again. I arrived with two colleagues of mine. The food was mediocre at best. We tried three different parts of the cabrito which were all thrown into one plate of meat. Are you... More

Decoration - OK. Service - very good. Toilets - clean. Food - good I am not very fond of "Cabrito" (fire cooked goat), but my wife is. So we went to this restaurant. My wife liked it and is convinced that the cabrito was better than in the other famous restaurant known for it we normally visit. I asked for... More

I heard lots of people talking about this place so I decided to try it but I was disappointed, the cabrito was not for me, it was extremely greasy and expensive, 375 pesos per dish. I did notice the place was full so people in Monterrey really do enjoy this kind of dish.

We had a couple of people in the group that really wanted to eat cabrito, the rest of us were good with trying it. Service started really good until we got to placing our orders. When we asked about adding or substituting items the waiter almost seemed annoyed and made it clear what and how you see it on the... More

I don't really like Cabrito, but my mom does. She doesn't live in Monterrey like I do, so every time I go visit her she asks me to buy her some Cabrito from "El Gran Pastor" and take it to her. She says is the best Cabrito she ever ate when visiting Monterrey. Locals seem to agree as most people... More

This the very first restaurant that I have ever eaten at in Monterey. It was a little pricey but delicious!! It is good for families and couples. They have great customer service!! They have a few locations around the city. It helped make a wonderful impression of Monterey. Very classy place!! Great food!!! Visited here numerous times since 2007. I... More
