Stopped here for a beer and chips and salsa but ended up getting their combo ceviche ... so good and so much food! The view was amazing and the service was great and friendly! So good that we then went for dinner on a different night because they said they would have a band. We are from California where restaurants are typically open late and I guess we didn't pay attention to the time. Got there around 7:30 but the band was from 6-8:00pm so didn't get much music and the kitchen was closing at 8:00. Had the octopus appetizer ... ehh. I think it had been sitting for awhile and had a burnt taste to it. Our meals were fine but we did feel a bit rushed. I recommend this place for lunch .... absolutely amazing views. Dinner is fine but definitely on the more casual side. If you want a fancy dinner, you'll want to go next door but great lunch spot!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch today, our first time visiting Splash. We were immediately greeted by a very frĂendly and funny car valet who led us into the restaurant and seated us where we indicated outside . From then on we not only had a very attentive server but we also noticed how many other workers were busily cleaning, arranging, and setting up for an expected busy Friday and weekend crowd.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Splash has a lovely outside set-up with a large bar and 3 levels of ocean view tables, most covered. We both had a drink first accompanied by the chips and salsa. The chips were ok but the salsa was basically a very bland bowl of tomato sauce. My husband ordered shrimp ceviche with tostadas and we each ordered the Splash combination plates and we enjoyed the steak, relleno, guacamole and beans, but the enchilada was in a heavy bland red sauce. I also asked for a spicy salsa instead of the bland tomato one and what the server brought was much better.
The ambience was friendly, clean, and inviting and we will most definitely return. A very pleasant way to spend a beautiful couple of hours!

One of the more popular stops along the road to Ensenada SPLASH is a great place for lunch or just a few drinks. Excellent view of the ocean and friendly service, it is enjoyed by locals and Gringos alike. Dine on the outside deck and you could see dolphins swimming offshore while dipping your tortilla chip into some delicious salsa or guacamole.

This is our favorite local restaurant and we go just about every week. However out seems like they were experiencing a hangover this New Year's day. The margaritas were sour, the cordon bleu was the smallest portion ever, and it took over 15 minutes to get our check.
They were pretty busy and the only other bad experience we have had at Splash in 6 years was on a busy night as well. Try to go early before the rush I guess.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to wine tasting in the Valle Guadalupe. I wanted some of their Lobster Bisque but unfortunately they were out. :( My friend has numerous dietary restrictions but had no problem finding something on the menu. Food was tasty and actually superior to the famous place in the Valle we later dined at. Margaritas are great here as well.

People go for the view only... certainly NOT for the food or restaurant atmosphere!
Unfortunately, I have been to Splash too many times just to appease my fellow expat friends. However, this will be my last time and this is why...
The food is not authentic Mexican AT ALL.. its extremely bland and uneventful.
The restaurant itself is OLD and extremely DIRTY. It's in dire need of a complete remodel! And, you'll find yourselves dining on filthy tables with flies swarming your lackluster meal. I truly can not stand this restaurant. There are FAR better places to go to on the oceanfront with he same view that offer EXCELLENT cuisine and atmosphere.

This spot is great for casual dinner. Grilled fish was very good as the quesadillas and the guacamole. Service attentive with good improvised accommodation… Atmosfere gioviali with good vibe. Price OK….

The ambience, the view and the food.
The Black Sea bass was beyond delicious cooked to perfection and the sauce delicious!!
Actually the restaurant is located south of Rosarito beach, in a partition called Primo Tapia.
Worth the 30 minutes drive from Rosarito

The restaurant is known for the view and great service and it didn't disappoint us. The food was a bit pricey and some meals were great and some just okay. A nice place to gather with friends, watch a game or have a drink. Parking was a bit crazy bit that seems to be the norm in Mexico.

Amazing staff and comida!! From Ceviche to Fajitas to pastas to posole to seafood... everything is delightfully delectable. Best staff!! Super fun bar scene with great tunes and a very cool vibe. I am here almost everyday when I visit Baja!!

Splash is a must do when visiting the Rosarito area.
Great margaritas. Luis is a great server. Great views. Very casual. Lovely patio open on the weekend or if it is cool you can sit inside and still enjoy the view.

Well … been here before during the day, but tonight was very disappointing. All of our food was lukewarm, including the soup. Cheese enchilada, cold. Enchilada sauce tasted weird/sweet. Bummer.
