A must visit for any beer lover. Such a welcome change from the decent but boring Tecate and Coronas. All 6 of these beers were spot on to style and clean with no off flavors. As a home brewer, I enjoyed every one, the El Bandito Black, my favorite( stout). Really applaud the 50% of sales of the delicious Stray Dog Amber going to the local rescue charity!! Have another for Rover. All 6 in 4 oz tasters for a fantastic $5 us!?! Half of what we pay at home! Wish he hadn't been in the middle of a Brew to have visited behind the scene to check out what sounded like a 2 bbl system. If ever back in Loreto, I'll be back!!

I stayed at the hotel connected to this place (Hotel 1697) and had dinner and beers here as well. The locally brewed beer was very good and I'm not even a lover of brewpub beer! The server was very friendly and said he had worked at El Zopilote for 8 or 9 years if my memory is correct. The food that I had from the kitchen here was also really good and worth the modest prices. I would recommend that you eat and drink here, and also that you stay at their owned lodging connected to the bar (Hotel 1697) which was very clean, cute and well-located. This place is right in the central area actually on the town square where City Hall is also located; only a 1/2 block away from the Mission and other restaurants, bars, lodging and shopping.

Visited this place after 2 years and they did not disappoint. Ordered margaritas, beer and mineral limonada all great. Dinner order included fish tacos, tortilla soup with chicken and sea bass . All excellent.

Unfortunately, our experience was less than stellar. I awarded a two stars because the drinks were good, our meal less so and was so unappetizing I would have given it a zero if I could.
We ordered an appetizer and main meal which my husband and I planned to share. We waited almost 45 minutes for our meal to arrive and when it did, it was actually cold. There was no reason for the long wait, or the delay to bring our meal to our table. The restaurant was not busy and the three waiters spent more time speaking to one another than looking after the patrons.
My husband was starving by the time the food arrived and chose to eat the meal while I declined after a few unappetizing bites.
To add insult to our experience we were overcharged by 80 pesos on our bill.
Overall, an unpleasant experience. I recommend that you do elsewhere as there are many more interesting appetizng choices!

For years a favorite! Several good “micro brews” (Bandito stout & Blood Orange ale), ok pizza, good salads, provided a change of pace. Generally good service and sincere staff. Right on the Town Plaza- great people watching spot and a short walk from our vacation home. We don’t come to Loreto to be tied to our cell phone! “Z” now requires you to find their menu online and order before being seated. We assumed that was an “option” and it took getting up to leave to get the waiter to offer us his services in ordering. We got the pitch about being a COVID requirement, but other good restaurants simple laminated their menus! Beer wasn’t as cold as usual and pizza was essentially thrown together. Edible, but not what we were expecting from previous visits. During our meals, we observed 7 groups from 2 to 8 persons stop and ask to see a menu. They were directed to “the Cube” on each table holding to instructions on using their cell phone to look up the Menu on their own! Every group -EVERY group chose to keep looking for another place to eat!! We’ll see what next year will bring!

Used to love this place, visiting multiple times during our visits to Loreto. This year, service was essentially non existent, regardless of number of customers. Two staff persons have always been able to handle the load because it essentially a bar that serves food. The menu is limited, with pizza being a main stay. But the two gents working didn’t even know how to seat customers. There was no process, people coming in after you were served first, and if a “take out” customer came in, everyone already at tables might as well be invisible! After suffering through this “comedy of ineptness” one night, we assumed it was just a “off night”. Unfortunately, it wasn’t! The second time we walked out, but made an effort to tell the one staff why! Not only did he not care, he actually looked relieved that it was one less thing to deal with. We did luck out and found a better run pizza restaurant with very good food, cold beer, and great service!

One of our top choices for something light & quick AND cold beer. E/Z has slowly worked its way onto our “must go” list for our annual trip to Loreto. Cornering a great people watching spot right on the town plaza, this is a perfect spot to eat pizza and enjoy some cold beers. Pizza is good, salads are great, and the beer is cold whether tap or bottle. Generally well shaded, this open air spot is just a nice place to relax and take a night off from traditional Baja meals. Staff has been there for a few years and always amazing to have them remember what you had from your last visit. We usually are here earlier in the summer and it’s our #1 stop for World Cup! If you don’t waste energy trying to compare it with your favorite pizza joint back home, you should enjoy your stop.

Was just down in the Loreto area on a camping trip and stopped by to pick up a growler while loading up provisions in town. Got the Double IPA "Snakebite." It was so good, especially in an area where Bohemia is usually the only game in town. Stopped back by twice during the travels to refill the growler and tried the stout.
The tap list is hit or miss as far as availability, and there were some technical issues when it came to filling the growler, but who cares when you are dealing with great beer.

We tried this place a couple times and were ok with the food we ordered - nachos with chicken and fish and chips. We are not beer drinkers and felt our waiter was not pleased with that fact, though he was more welcoming for our second visit. Easy spot for a quick bite on the plaza.

We dropped in for a pre dinner drink and. Cause we love bee. We were surprised at the raft nature of the small beer menu. Since I didn’t feel like having an IPA or stout I asked about a mojito since they advertised a full bar. Couldn’t do it and there was no wine on the menu. The beer was delicious but just beware they don’t have some of what they were advertising.

We were in Loreto before and after a cruise and went here twice. They have about 8 beers on tap and a decent menu of snacks and light meals. Between our 2 visits we tried all the tacos and they were excellent, especially the fish. Nice surprise to find a brewery in such a small town.

The first time we stopped here, the place was so full, our party of 6 could not get a table. So, we came back to see what all the fuss was about. Very good beers with a 'Belgiany' palette. Although the Rattlesnake IPA was not available, the other choices were quite good. The food service was a little slow, but the beer was right on schedule. Be prepared for a crowd, this is the only brewery and tasting room in Loreto! Right on the square in the city center, great place.

We stayed 30 minutes south in Villa Del Palmar for 11 days. We visited this restaurant three times during our stay. Each time had a great meal and some awesome beers. Has great outdoor seating with sunlight or shade. Highly recommend it.

Nice little restaurant at the Plaza. Food was ok. Tried Pizza, Caesar salad, and chiles rellenos. Pizza crust very good. Tried to order vodka and club soda. Received vodka and coke! They had no idea what club soda was. Partly a translation issue I guess. Waiter was friendly overall.
