One thing I learned in Baja is that it's definitely not a dining destination. If you're looking for the quality food you can get in Oaxaca or Mexico City, you're going to be disappointed. That said, Rancho Viejo was great. I ate there four times...More

We shared a 3 taco Arrachera, a corona and mineral water. A large tray of sides came with it including cucumbers, salsa, pickled onions, jalapenos, limes, plain onlins, more chips and salsa. All was very delicious and it was enough for 2 medium eaters. We...More

It's worth a trip to La Paz just to eat at Rancho Viejo. I've been stopping whenever I visit La Paz over the past 15 years and there is nothing finer for traditional Mexican food, the Ariacharia tacos are to die for, a steak taco...More

OMG, I still dream of this little hole-in-the wall. No, it's not fancy, indoor/outdoor seating with fans, no ac, but they give you the makings for the best tacos you'll ever have! All sorts of beef, veggies and pepper sauces. I came here twice I...More
