Good food and nice room. 3 stars because it is presented as the best hotel on the island and probably is. But compared to other areas it is very average..

Great location, good rooms, nice dining area on the water. Close proximity to a great dive shop Scubaqua.

In a recent stop in St. Eustatius we had diner at his fantastic location. Next to the history of the place is its location in front of the Orange Bay. The service was outstanding (Francesca was the most gracious and fantastic). The owner was very helpful with lots of information. Definitely a highly recommended place.

Enjoyed a simple sandwich lunch with ocean views. Lovely atmosphere, but a bit pricey for what you get.

There are limited choices on Statia for a good meal. I could say fine dining but its not that pricey. I ate here 3 of my 4 nights with a great meal on each occasion. Servers were sometimes not the most knowledgeable but were helpful. I highly recommend the ribs and the local lobster. Friday night they had a band... More

Nothing beats the location. This was our second visit to the Old Gin House. It was nice to see some improvements. The current management was extremely welcoming and gracious. Breakfast, which came with our package was plentiful and well prepared.

My husband and I celebrated his birthday this weekend in St. Eustatius in the Caribbean. We chose the historic Old Gin House because of it's location along the sea and we both love history! We were greeted by Marlies (she and husband Sybolt manage the hotel) and were given a suite upgrade which was very kind of them and unexpected.... More

We traveled to Statia for the scuba diving. The Old Gin House was perfect for us as it was almost next door to the dive shop. I struggle with what level of rating to give this hotel. The buildings are unique, owners and staff were friendly, food was very good, rooms were clean. We had an oceanfront room which I... More

Had drinks and dinner here several times during my visit to Statia in early August. Service was excellent and food was great. Drink prices were surprisingly low. Food was priced what I would expect for a small island. Great place to catch the sunset.

Although the Old Gin House is not fancy - it is comfortable and clean - and in a great location next to the Scubaqua Dive Center. For divers looking for a place to dive off the beaten path - this is the place! One of the best night dives in the Caribbean, amazing history and completely laid back.
