Have dined here several times over the last few weeks and the food has been consistently good. Although there has been a bit of disruption recently because of building work and refurbishing of the original building it has all been worth it as the finished result is spot on....... tastefully done in keeping with the original building.

Thank mysticmither

Hello mysticmother, It's great to see so many people are as pleased with the finished results as we are! It hasn't been all plain sailing with the disruption but we are almost at the finish line now and all of our guests have been very understanding throughout it all. Hope to see you again soon. Best Wishes, Jen More

Still a work in progress, but already shaping up nicely after many months of rebuilding and extending. The building hasn't lost any charm but added a huge amount more! It has been reworked to an extremely high standard and sympathetically and tastefully remodelled into a more modern yet traditional space with character and a delightful and pleasantly welcoming atmosphere in... Second visit. Major refurb in between visits. New menu too. Refurb first - a really excellent job! Decor and ambience are delightful. High quality materials, right down to lovely new stone flags on the floor. Just finished, so looking at its very best I guess. Two separate dining areas each with very different feels. Welcoming bar with good high stools.... More

Hopefully this was a blip as I have previously loved this place. The restaurant / hotel is being refurbished and we were not warned of this when we booked the day before. The dining room was freezing and quite frankly soulless. We would have had to eat in our coats as 2 other sets of customers were doing. The waiter... More

We decided to book Meikleour Hotel for our family Christmas get together as the Christmas menu posted on facebook seem to cater for all the family. How disappointed were we? Very .......! We have been for lunch and tea on a few occasions now and have never been disappointed. From entering the bar area you are greeted with a cheery retort. This destination dining spot is set inside the historic Meikleour Hotel, a picturesque, ivy-covered inn located between Blairgowrie and Perth. The home-made bistro-style menu here attracts food-lovers from far and wide, and the cosy wood-panelled dining room - with its tartan carpets and white linens - has become a local institution. All the food here is prepared in-house, from the stock-pots to the puddings, and fresh fish is delivered daily from the boats in Aberdeen, and the wine list is hand-picked. Ideal for romantic meals and celebrations, the Meileour has a feel-good home-away-from-home atmosphere, and star dishes include the beef pie flavoured with the hotels own Perth-brewed Lure of Meikleour ale.
