Chosen because of rave reviews and we all like good food and service. Just a little disappointing on both fronts. Probably just a bad night. Waited for one starter out of four as till had not communicated with kitchen? No raspberry coulis as had run out? Still food was good and service was not bad. We were the only people... More

The Hampshire Arms very kindly offered the pub as a venue for a charity quiz night, absolutely free of charge. They even offered to do a complementary vegetable curry for all of the guests! The organisation and communication of the event was excellent, with special praise to Natalie, who handled all of my questions promptly and was fantastic on the... More

We dropped in initially for a drink whilst my daughter went to a local tutor(who is also highly recommended!). We had a look at the menu and decided to order mainly down to the enthusiasm of both barmaids who were excited to tell us what the chef had made that day. We ordered Moo & Ale pie and the PeriPeri... Our first visit and it won't be the last. The decor is lovely and the service was personal. We tried some sharing platters - Camembert and charcuterie both were generous and delicious. I believe there is a new chef and she is doing very well. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Four of us visited the Hampshire Arms on a sunny Monday lunchtime. This is the third lunch-time we have been to this inn over the past 12 months and it is never busy, in fact at 12.45pm we were the only people there. I just wonder how the owners make this pub pay. The barmaid was very friendly and the... More

Damn... Very saddened to read your non satisfactory review!! As a fellow Fulham FC Supporter I understand your pessimistic approach!! I can only think of inviting you back to Hampshire Arms for a Sunday afternoon visit so you can see the pub in its "full glory".. If you make yourself known I'll buy you a pint of our favourite ale... More

Excellent food and wine for Sunday lunch and attentive staff. Dog friendly but phone in advance to book your table.

My husband and I, our parents (late 70's) and our children 15, 13, 12 and 9, so three generations, arrived and had an aperitif on the terrace overlooking the garden. (The grandparents don't like too much noise in a pub, which is why we had booked the separate art gallery room - was perfect for our party, and full of... More

Like many pubs the fortune of the Hampshire Arms has had its ups and downs. Today, Friday 3 Feb 2017, we went back for lunch, and so pleased we did. Nikki greeted us at the bar where we could have sat but chose the larger of the 2 dining rooms where there were 3 or 4 other couples. We both... More

I visited this proper rural english country pub for the second time in December 2016 on my way back home in South West Wiltshire (Salisbury) for a meal with myself and two personal assistants. Although there was no disabled toilets I had great access to the pub and was made to feel like I was a local. I ordered one... More

Haven't been to the Hampshire for a month or so. Realised it was steak night and thought, why not. Walked in and was greeted by a VERY friendly waitress (who we hadn't seen before) who welcomed us and took our drinks order. We all ordered our steaks and some side dishes and within minutes, the food arrived and was cooked... More
