We chanced across this charming trattoria when wandering the streets of Riposto with my parents. Staff were extremely friendly and there was an incredible range of dishes on offer, especially seafood. Every dish ordered was delicious! The antipasto de terra degustation was a very generous size, the ricotta and pear was an unexpected highlight. Pesce azzuro a Beccafico and campanelle... More

This restaurant was recommended to us and this was justified. The food was really really good, the atmosphear very quiet and quite nice even though we haven't tried the terrace as it was closed. We had the seafood antipasti (alternative the inland antipasti) and don't be afraid vy the price (18 euros), it is worth it. Same for the pasta,... More

We started with an order of caponata that was perfectly balanced sweet and tart. I had an eggplant agnolotti in a pistachio cream sauce that was truly special. My wife ordered spaghetti con vongole that was so simply prepared yet so delicious. My son had fresh pasta with a pistachio orange sauce that was surprisingly delicious. Everything was excellent.

Excellent tagliata, good house wine in a gentle and pleasing atmosphere. Attentive service and surprisingly small bill. Worth a detour.

This is a rare find, with fresh and beautifully cooked ingredients, swift and attentive service and a charming atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and our dinner, and the bill was a nice surprise too.

We had found this restaurant before we went away, and knew we would be trying it out. We had trouble finding it, and it was pouring down with rain! Unlucky us. Anyway it's a lovely family run restaurant, up a side street. The husband and wife team do the cooking. We had some fabulous grilled fish, frito misto, melanzane, and... More

For a first time experience at this restaurant I was impressed with the quality of the seafood, ambience, and the owner's (Enzo) vast knowledge of ingredients, wine, and freshness of product as well as his skills in the kitchen. My wife and I started out with grilled Octopus over a bed of creamed chickpeas, roasted cherry tomatoes, potatoes, celery, and... More

We've been here twice during our holiday. The fish and seafood is very fresh. We recommend the musselsoup or seafoodsoup. This is not soup, it is a big bowl with lovely clams and/or mussels.

I had the fish set menu when I came here and it was four courses of sheer deliciousness. It may in fact have been too much food, but when it tastes this good you can't let that put you off!

We visited as a family of 4 based on the Tripadvisor rating. However we were underwhelmed. The food is good and nicely presented, but not exceptional. The sea bass is presented in a unique 'butterflied' open cut, but it was a little dry. The pasta was good but not great. Nothing to complain about but we were expecting more from... More

Description
Marricriu La Trattoria is located in Riposto in the province of Catania on the premises that the end of 800 housed one of the most important factories of barrels of time. Today, the tables and chairs have taken the place of those barrels, and while in the air will smell the fragrance of the good traditional Sicilian cuisine, good wine continues to be the thread that allows guests to rediscover smells and tastes perhaps now forgotten and that were once in everyday life.
