Very nice pub with a large terrace in a green area. Nice atmosphere and very good food in a cosy restaurant next to the bar. Good wine list. Very friendly owner always ready to help the customers.

Delightful building in a lovely setting. More a collection of small rooms than a large, open-plan arrangement - so noisy fellow-diners can be a problem. Choose less popular days/times to avoid this. Food and service good to excellent.

I last visited BLACKBOYS in 1957, there have been some changes........This is a lovely pub and restaurant, delicious home cooking and friendly service. We had an excellent lunch, Sunday lunch and vegetarian and child portion all very good. We are already planning our next visit.
