Hadn't been here since around 2012-2013 when it was probably one of the best restaurants in the country. However, went recently despite the reviews and had a very average meal with very average service. A shadow of its former self !

Delicious beef shin pie. Whole place makes you feel instantly at home, from the dark woods to the open fires. Very nice on a autumnal day. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Was not expecting much from Balloo House, simply because country restaurants don’t often have good vegetarian or vegan options, but I was extremely impressed by their dedicated vegan menu. Staff seemed quite knowledgeable in terms of such food too. Interior is drab, dark and dated...More
