We stumbled across La Rose en Pindare a couple of years ago during a day trip to Bourgueil and were impressed.
Relaxed atmosphere with old style music with a reasonably priced lunch menu which was a step up in quality to typical bistro fare (which is still a good standard in France).
We returned for a long weekend staying in an AirBnB in Bourgueil and we made a return visit for dinner. Again high quality food, good selection of local wine, lovely service and relaxing evening was had by us. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

An excellent surprise in Bourgueil. The restaurant room is soberly decorated. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The cuisine is of a very good standard with quality ingredients. Good choice of Bourgueil wine. All for a reasonable budget.

Found this restaurant by chance. A delicious guinea fowl with morels for €19 followed by a very good sorbet for €8. Fast, efficient service. The waitress is very nice and very good coordination with the cook. Stop in Bourgueil just for this restaurant.

The food is bellow average, the service and hospitality in general really bad. No smiles (except the daughter), we ordered wine without looking at the wine card and got a wine without explanation of what we got. The kids are not wanted in the restaurant!!!
If you are looking for a place to go and not talk, not smile, and just be “moody”, go for it!!!
I will not!!!

Very pleasant meal on the terrace, whatever the dishes chosen, there were 6 of us, it was delicious, the cooking was perfect, the presentation of the dishes was superb. A welcoming and attentive service. All of this combined allowed us to have a very pleasant time as a family. A big thank-you.

We regularly stop at this restaurant every time we go to Brittany. The staff is very friendly. The cuisine is simple but very good. On sunny days, we have lunch in the garden, which is very pleasant. Bourgueil is not very far from the highway so you don't have to take a long detour. Restaurant to discover.

We enjoyed a super lunch here after visiting the market in the town. Delicious pumpkin soup followed by an amazing entrecôte steak, chips and salad. Very tender meat. Washed down with a very nice wine from the region. Good service, lovely surroundings and good value.

An excellent meal for a family reunion. Fast service, impeccable presentation and really good products well presented.

We had the 3 course meal and mostly enjoyed it. Good service, excellent, inexpensive wines, a little trouble with translation, but overall a fine French country meal in a pleasant atmosphere where the locals dine.

Chose 45€ menu, didn’t consider it good value. Starters ok, we both had same main & husband had stone and grit in the morels waitress come front of house shrugged & said this happens with champignons!!! Cheese ok, dessert enjoyable but confusing tastes. Unlikely to revisit when we return. Good local wine list.

Went there on two occasions, first time with a menu (31 EUR) and second time from the card. On both occasions nicely surprised with the quality of the food. Portions are ok. Extremely swift service for a French restaurant. Extensive menu card and wine list. Veggy dishes available. Service by an apprentice so be understanding.

The "rillons" were not warm, the sweet was a bit too decorative and not very substantial and the waitress didn't really know what was going on. The owner didn't even recognise a couplet from Ronsard's most famous poem, which was a bit rich considering she was standing in front of his portrait.

Lovely experience at this charming small restaurant. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The good was beautifully prepared and delicious. Worth a trip to it.

We visited the restaurant on a quiet Thursday in late May. We had a table in the well kept garden at the rear.
We were impressed by the menu choices and choose the 31€ . Good quality and quantity. We had pintade as the main which was cooked perfectly, the red Bourgueil was great and the deserts finished off an excellent meal
