This place was recommended by another couple that we meet on the island. They told us if we went we had to have the coconut shrimp and it did not disappoint. I had dinner there my first day in staniel cay. I would have had lunch there also but they were sold out of food for lunch by 12:20pm. Other... More

Only open for a few hours a day but well worth it. All food is made in house and was very tasty. I had the conch bits (deep fried with spices and batter) and wanted more and my girlfriends grilled fish was amazing too. Owner/cook was very friendly. Good place to get some good food and watch the sunset.

Laid back no rush atmosphere... How it should be. Great rum punch and conch bites..., blackened grouper on its way. The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food really fresh and affordable. We got the conch bites to split for an appetizer and the blackened grouper and cracked conch appetizer. All were excellent!! Definitely eat here for s real Bahamian... More

My dad and I were visiting Staniel, and the Yacht Club was just so commercial, we prefer to find smaller, local owned places, and even if the Yacht Club is that, it just didn't feel like it. So we ate multiple times at Taste and Sea. I wanted the conch really badly our first night, and they didn't have it,... More

We knew they would open at noon so we hung out Until they did. We wanted the conch but they didn't have any. I had some pan fried fish. It was the whole fish and was very difficult to eat. I wasn't too impressed. My husband had a burger and said it was an average burger, nothing fabulous about it.... More

Even though it's rarely open, we just loved this place. The food was so good and the portions were huge. I'd honestly say the food was better than the yacht club and was half the price (at least for dinner). The service is slow but you're on island time so that's to be expected. You can walk in with a... More

Mixed feelings on this review. We were on Staniel Cay for 2 weeks and wanted to eat here more, but we round them closed most of the time. Maybe it was just bad timing. We tried on several occasions for lunch, got there by 1pm and they were closed. We also drove by a couple times at 7pm for dinner... More

My family ate here during a sailing trip around the Exumas. The captain of our sailboat eats here frequently and highly recommended it. It is a casual restaurant with wonderful food. All six of us were happy with our meals and cold drinks. My thirteen-year-old son was thrilled to have the wifi and sports on the tv since we didn't... More

The server was quite friendly. I had the coconut shrimp. My husband had a burger. The prices were reasonable for the island. Our service was fast also. We got there a little after they opened. New friends from island told us to go as an option to the yacht club. It's dark inside and there wasn't much of a view.... More
