Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were recommended by hotel staff Twin Brothers as only 1 of 2 decent restuarants at the also recommended "Fish Fry " .. That should have been a warning enough but no, we wanted to have some authentic , fresh and local seafood and this...sounds the perfect place to go ... Firstly, the highs - nice, clean looking modern restaurant , plenty of seating ( and empty tables - but it was early!).. The waitress seemed very friendly and was happy to recommend the seafood platter when I said I wanted healthy, local fish - including trying conch for the first time, the menu states it cooked in their own special spices - sounded yum! my husband ordered the surf and turf and we had a cocktail each... However, thats where the good experience ended unfortunately... My seafood platter arrived and everything was deep fried in thick crispy batter - fried to within an inch of its life - so far so it was completely overcooked, chewy, rubbery and completely inedible ! the lobster tail was the same - the meat taken out of the shell , placed on top and cooked so much it was chewy and would not come away from the shell!! even the fries and rice were over cooked,,as mentioned in another review the only decent thing on the plate was the coleslaw which was actually delicious ( hence the 1 star! ). My husband ate his steak although that was overcooked also but his lobster just as ruined as mine. We complained (very nicely and very politely) to both the waitress and the manager , that my meal was not only completely overcooked and chewy - inedible - but that nowhere on the menu states this meal was completely deep fried ( just says cooked in their own spices) .I also reiterated that I had specifically stated I wanted fresh , healthy local seafood and that I wanted to try conch but I could not decipher which fish was which because it was all so rubbery and chewy - in which the waitress responded conch is chewy anyway!! ... We explained also that the lobster was ruined and inedible also - I literally could only eat the coleslaw ! .. This meal is not cheap at well over 100 dollars but all they would offer was 35 dollars off for the lobster ( mine only) .. They then preceded to order us a taxi we hadn't asked for and sent us on our way with a free takeaway rum punch each ( by this time we just wanted to leave the whole area tbf - we did not feel welcome or safe ).. Only once we were in the taxi did I taste mine - my husband's was fine, mine clearly had something added - I believe this was salt! .. Wow!! The worst experience in any restaurant we've ever had in the world and one of the most expensive meals ever! After meeting some wonderful Bahamians during our trip I feel saddened and angry that this experience has left us with a very poor memory of the country and its people , and I'm sure I'm not alone judging by other reviews..More

No prices for drinks on menu. Got a coffee colada with no alcohol charged $15 when online it says $3. Manager said sorry about it, there’s nothing I can do about it. RIP off

Fish Fry Road is a must do while in Nassau. Fresh fish. Local. Experience. One of our guides this week told us about Twin Brothers and it also came up in our searches. As you walk down the sidewalk, all the establsihments want your business...and immediately hand out menus. Twin Brothers boasted of water view (it's the shipping yard over a canal), wi-fi (that is locked), A/C (true) and "good market prices" (we were told $40 and then they charged us $60 for dinner), told us 'no bones' (all bones), spice was so strong our son couldn't eat it and extra bonus was the rat we saw outside on their patio. We should have known when barely anyone else was there. They lure you in and take advantage because we are tourists. Sad part is the guy next door at Big Mama's Fish Fry told us they'd do it...and they did. We expect more from an island that lives off tourism and everyone is so darn friendly everywhere you go.More

A typical tourist restaurant in a tourist trap just outside downtown Nassau. We had of course fried conchas - a bit too much heavy and sticky - and a grilled fish with rice and vegetable. Nothing that worth to remember.

Great food and service. Twin brothers is my go to when in The Bahamas. Their food is always fresh and tasty. Add that to the friendly service and decent drinks and we have a winner! The restaurant is expensive, but as is everything in the...Bahamas. Almost Everything has to be imported which drives up the price of almost everything. The most important thing is that the food is authentic and some of the best around! I am Bahamian American so I would know!More

This restaurant is located in an area that is called "The Fish Fry" in Nassau, Bahamas. The place was clean, and the staff was friendly. The menu had good variety and the food was very good overall. We had the Conch Salad and Jerk Chicken....The Conch Salad was excellent. It's a Ceviche (raw Conch) mixed in to a salsa of tomatoes, green peppers, onions and hint of lime. The Jerk Chicken was very good. It was served with fries.More

We both had the conch salad which was delicious but so big we took half with us. Nice service, but slow even though we did not mind waiting. Lemonade had strawberry and guava! Very casual, lots of local customers. Friendly.

The service here was fine, a little slow but we're on vacation right? Loved the margarita! We ordered the seafood platter, which was more than enough for two people, however the lobster was overdone and chewy, the fish super greasy and the conch fritters had...little to no actual conch in them. The cole slaw was pretty good though... Price for all of this? (meal, margarita, lemonade and a bottle of water) $135.25, and of course the price also apparently includes gastric distress. We had a $110 coupon we got from the vacation club (that we didn't join), thankfully. I'd of been super upset if we would have to paid full price for that.More

We had some of the best fried fish of our life here. We got the fish fillet snack and couldn't believe how juicy, fresh and light it was. The batter was perfectly distributed and tasty, and the fish itself was heavenly. We just drizzled a...little lime over it rather than using either of the dips they provided because the fish really just spoke for itself. We also appreciated how quickly we were in and out, especially compared to another spot at the fish fry where it took almost an hour to get a few grilled shrimp.More

We heard of the fish fry and staff at the resort we were staying advised this place. We waited 45 minutes just for an order to be taken. The table was dirty and sticky. The food mediocre and taste less. We paid over 180 dollars....My wife was unwell with vomiting after the meal. Risk of falling seriously ill remains. At your own risk.More

Our waitress was great-the food was just so-so. Had the fried conch fritters which had very little conch and heavy breading. The lobster burger was a lot of fried batter, chewy and the fries were a little undercooked. It was a good price compared to...eating at the resort.More

20 minute walk. Cabs are everywhere though, so you don’t have to walk if you don’t want to.
