We stumbled into this restaurant from an afternoon at the beach, we pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and margaritas. Service was great too, definitely recommend stopping in the next time you are in St John.

My wife and I had about an hour to kill prior to catching a ferry back to St. Thomas and decided to stop in Margarita Phil's. It was a cozy, comfortable, lazy atmosphere. Easy to meet folks at the neighboring tables kind-of-place. Only problem we experience is that there was only one girl working in the place, so service was... More

The food is okay. However I'm from Colorado and we have some of the best Mexican outside Mexico. Anyhow, I had this Cucumber Jalepeno Margarita that was just excellent.

We last visited here in 2009 and loved the place. We came back last week. Kids liked the conch fritters. Good place for your basic Mexican/Tex-Mex fair. As a Texas resident, who eats a variety of Mexican food weekly, that's saying a lot.

We stopped here on the way back from Honeymoon Beach for a refreshing margarita. It was huge but not very alcoholic. The burrito was delicious and (like most places in the VIs) expensive. The guy behind the bar was lovely and friendly. Part of the Woodies empire.

We go to St. John every few years, and have visited their for at least a dozen times, Since discovering Margherita Phil's a few years ago, we try to go there at least once every visit. Huge Margherita's, excellent food, especially the Fresh Ahi Tuna Tacos.

We discovered Margarita Phil's on our first visit in 2007. It is a warm, laid back place with cool staff and good food. Our favorite memory is when the electricity went out island-wide before we got our food. The cook (bless his heart) made our dinner with a flashlight and since they have a gas stove...dinner was served. We ate... More

We stopped here for lunch and were so glad we chose this restaurant. Very pricey, so just be prepared. It is worth the cost. Charles is the chef preparing the fresh catch tacos and did an outstanding job. Three of us ate the three tacos and one of us ate the pork burrito. Each meal was $29. Don't let that... More

Small not much more than a bar inside with maybe three tables, outside covered deck has about five tables.Stopped here after a day snorkeling at the Cannel Bay National Park. It was hot, and we walked pass the place , the drinks looked enticing. We each ordered the Margarita's and we were disappointed , lots of ice and mix, and... More
