We were in Charlotte Amalie with several friends and when it came time for lunch, we selected the Amalie Cafe on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews. We were NOT disappointed. There were 10 of us handled w/o problem. All had the Gazpacho which got uniform rave reviews. We all (couple) spit a Zarzuela, separated in the kitchen without our... More

First have a drink at the bar. So charming. A complete menu and a lovely court yard to visit. The attention to service was very good. Food was good, but the fish was slightly overcooked.

We were looking for a good restaurant with lots of seafood options - but not typical fried fish. This was perfect. The blackened lobster Caesar Salad was delicious and the entree was fabulous - a seafood stew with mussels, clams, salmon, whitefish and shrimp in a tasty tomato based broth.- Zarzuela De Mariscos. We also started with sangria and it... More

Amalia Cafe gets some very good reviews, but as a solo traveler I do not feel I should be discriminated against. For what ever reason I was seated with another couple when there were several tables available. The couple was choosing a ring tone for their phone so I had to listen to that and both were coughing on my food,... More

Beginning with the pitcher of sangria and all the way through a long list of tapas, every sip and bite was just delicious. Staff is friendly and attentive, led by the owners. It was so good for dinner last night that we're going back for lunch!

Had lunch here. Few patrons at 1 pm. Ordered some tapas, not very tasty. Somewhat oily Chorizo dish. Nice atmosphere.

My wife and I decided that this would be our first dinner of the trip and we were very happy with that decision. The atmosphere is lovely. The food is very delicious authentic Spanish cuisine with a heavy dose of fresh seafood. We had some tapas (clams and octopus were our favorites) as well as the Zarzuela (which we highly... More

Our group stopped for a drink at the bar and the weather and atmosphere were so good we ended up staying there for lunch. Food was good, bartender was on point, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.
