This was our first place to eat upon arriving in St. Thomas. I had a jerk mahi sandwich. It was good but not outstanding, not as spicy as I expected. Glady's was touting their hot sauce and it was indeed hot. I would go back hoping that something that was missing would wow me.

Glady's is a very comfortable restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch. Try their various hot sauces, made by them. They are reasonably priced, given their location in the heart of Charlotte Amelie. The food is authentic island food although most of their customers seem to be tourists.

We have lunched at Gladys' several times. I am not sure that local people eat lunch here. Most of the people in the cafe are tourist or cruise ship passengers. The food is fresh and served hot. Nothing really special about the presentation. The wait staff is pleasant , however they seem to be stressed from over work. More customers... More

We always stop for lunch at Gladys when we're in St. Thomas. It's open for breakfast & lunch only so we stop for lunch when we're in town shopping. The food is the best experience you can have if you're looking for authentic Caribbean food. The conch and jerk chicken & pork dishes are my favorites. The waitstaff is very... More

This was the closest we got to authentic Caribbean food on the island and it was delicious. I suggest picking from the daily specials for local cuisine, but there's also a wide selection of more American-like food available. The staff was wonderful and I would definitely go back.

Always have breakfast at Gladys' at least once every time we're in St. Thomas. Great food, great service, great prices and a truly magnificent old building from the 1830's (after the fire that destroyed much of St. Thomas).

The food at this resturant was amazing. Went on a local food tour around the area and this was one of the stops. This was ny favorite. Nice staff and the seasoning on the food was excellent. You must try their hot sauce!!

My young waiter highly recommended the curried chicken special with plantains and a neighboring table had fish. It was so filling and a delightful atmosphere.

Gladys serves up a few local dishes with the usual burgers and fries. I had the mahi mahi sandwich. The roll is a cross between potato bread and Hiawaiian bread. Very good. Pass on the cole slaw though.

Thank Bob M
