Decided for our last night we should go to Bananas. Heard so much about it. Firstly the web site doesn't do the building and location justice. Set high in the hills with stunning gardens. Sat in the verandah and hate a fantastic meal. The lobster dip and the Mahi Mahi appetizer were just the right size. The chicken, mushroom and... More

Go before sunset to the top roof for amazing sunset view and photos. Food very good - try appetizers, a must. Entries generous and tasty. Dessert a must. A family for four (two daughters ages 18 and 20) - we all thought that the food was very good - the thai chicken was exceptional. Nice atmosphere is a garden setting.... More

Not only are my family and I returning to Nevis next year, but we're already excited about eating at Bananas again. That French Onion Soup was amazing and I love all of the artwork and the little boutique!

Don't be put off by the drive to get here, it is well worth it and you won't be disappointed! Try and get a reservation and time it for the sunset whilst enjoying cocktails. Restaurant is lively with a mixture of tourists and locals and has a great atmosphere, but you are not made to feel rushed. Menu has a... More

We had an early 6:30 dinner so we were able to catch the sunset from the upstairs patio. Imagine a great meal in an amazing jungle tree-house, that is Bananas. Make a reservation for sure. No kids menu but they did a smaller version of the skirt steak which was very good.

Six of us went to Bananas last week and immediately loved how cute the entry way was. Lots of lights on a nice arbor. The vibe was perfect. Local artists' paintings on the wall and the bartender seemed to thoroughly enjoy our company after a delicious meal. Highly recommend it to get the real island feel.

While on both islands we probably visited 7-8 restaurants (including The Royal Palm @ Ottley's, The Suger Mill @ Montpelier, and the Hermitage), but found Bananas to be the best overall experience. It is the eclectic mix of island ambience, great service, yummie food, scenic views, and signature cocktails that make this place a winner! I could go on and... More

Amazing view from rooftop deck, delicious food, great service! From drinks on the rooftop deck to desert after our tasty dinner, Banana's was a great recommendation. There is also a boutique for local art, jewelry, and resort wear.

Wow... this place is good. It is located up in the middle of the jungle and has a rooftop view of the trees and ocean. The restaurant is quirky but so neat. This was one of the best meals I had on the island. All the food was great but I recommend the bean dip and the banana creme brûlée.... More

We find Trip Advisor frequently misleading... Turtle Time, Sunshine and Double Deuce are all in the top 10 of the 42 restaurants on Nevis. We visited each of these and, quite frankly, they were all average at best. All 3 are in need of some TLC to one degree or other. I would recommend them if passing but certainly would... More

Description
Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.
