Quite possibly the best meal I've had in the Caribbean thus far. Lion and Angela are great hosts in their quaint ocean front establishment. The beer and rum punch are cold and the food is made fresh. You also can't beat the view. There are shaded beach chairs out front and water sport rentals a short walk down the beach.... More

Family owned and operated bar and restaurant. Simple and wonderful food. 6 options (fish, shrimp, ribs, 2 chicken dishes and a vegetarian version). Ribs to die for... Lion and his family will make you feel at home. Excelent Rum punch, beer is always cold and great service. Great view of the Caribbean Sea and the island of Nevis. A must... More

This is the spot we tell all of our cruising friends to visit if they have only one day in St. Kitts. Lion's is located on Cockleshell Beach (in between Reggae Beach Bar and Spice Mill). It is on the tip of the island facing Nevis so it is a breathtaking view! It has the best swimming and beach by... More

We love this bar, which is always fun and friendly. The local food is good, fresh and plenty, with good ribs, jerk chicken, and all the 'provisions'. However, they only open when the cruise ships are in, so need to check!

Located next to the much more upmarket Spice Mill. After a warm welcome, we rented two chairs and an umbrella for US$10 on a wide stretch of Cockleshell beach. Lion's punch was delicious. Staff let us know that lunch would be served at 1 o'clock, took our food orders and invited us to the table when our meal was ready.... More

We booked a day stop here for a large group and were hugely disappointed. Bernadette Carty provided the transport and although she got the date wrong, she was very pleasant and helpful when she arrived and gave us all the history and facts about the island en route. It was very disapponting when we arrived at Lion Beach bar. It... More

Stopped here for drinks and to enjoy the beach. Great beach, and great views. Calm waters. Drinks were okay. Just average, actually. Service accommodating.

Most of the staff was rude. Chairs were disgusting. Ocean filled with seaweed snorkeling would be difficult I tried it.Bring extra towels just so you can double up on the disgusting chairs. You might be better off just using a towel on the beach.
