We had our anniversary dinner here and it was definitely special. The service was great and menu had many options for vegetarians. Everything we ordered was well cooked, tasty and beautifully presented. The ambiance was lovely with beautiful views of the pitons.

Food was just ok. Overlooked creole fish recommended by server was really not tasty at all. I wouldn't go back or consider it as a top stop

This is a very special place and worth a visit. You can have delicious meal while watching the great Piton. And you should definitely spare some space for the amazing desserts. The service is friendly and very supportive.

The view of this restaurant is absolutely stunning but the service was slow, the table wad dirty and the food was alright. Chocolate, couldn't find too much. A great pity, as it was along way to find it, too

After putting it off for almost a week due to mixed reviews we decided to give it a shot on our last night on the island. All I can say is you do not want to miss this gem. From the time we arrived at the restaurant until the time we left we felt welcome. The food was amazing and... More

We were greeted like family with staff anxious to know where we were from, how long we would be staying and how we liked our trip so far. The food is intricate with so many flavors begging for attention, it was a delight. We rented a house near by so I can't comment on the accommodations, but from the looks... More

We decided to treat ourselves to dinner here whilst on holiday. Beautiful restaurant and courteous service. Food beautifully served if not overwhelming for the price. We felt that we had had a special evening out.

Description
Perched high up between the Piton mountains, The Boucan Restaraunt is open to both residents and non residents. Boucan is The Hotel Chocolat’s own restaurant, where guests can experience Cacao Cuisine. The word “Boucan” refers to the traditional West Indian name for a cocoa drying facility. The restaurant is built on the site of the Rabot Estate’s original Boucan. Boucan is also linked to “boucaneer” or “buccaneer,” the local pirates that would smoke and dry their food to preserve it for long trips at sea. The Boucan offers a strong connection with cacao and chocolate. For over 3,000 years, cacao has been used as a savory ingredient and for 500 as a sweet ingredient. The menu explores both, with the chefs taking their inspiration from the fresh cacao growing all around the estate, together with amazing local fish and seafood, salad leaves, vegetables and plentiful fruit. However the cuisine is far from cocoa heavy. The menu often makes use of cacao as a light, subtle spice or as an infusion. The desserts make full and imaginative use of the estate cacao, with each evening meal rounded off with the day’s new chocolate creation. Boucan’s breathtaking minimalist design includes a soaring roof inspired by the shape of the cacao tree, with its branches reaching to the sky, and shaded by the lush rainforest canopy. Its high platform is a centre stage for the Big Nature views all around.Dining at the Hotel Chocolat's Boucan Restaurant, whether it be breakfast, lunch, dinner or the fabulous sundowner cocktails, is an experience to be shared and cherished. We passionately believe we are certainly offering something very different at Boucan. The dress code is smart/casual and ladies a cocktail dress is never out of place!
