We had been looking forward to cocktails here for some time. The experience was mortifying. To set the scene, we are three experienced travellers with lots of disposable income we are looking to spend. But not here, because we are also over 35 (over 65, actually). As soon as we arrived, we felt that we were being hidden away in... More

We arrived about 5:30 to have drinks outside on the beach and watch the sunset. Nice little arrangement of wicker furniture and tables and very attentive wait staff. Moved inside at 7 o'clock for dinner and found out the kitchen didn't actually open until 7:30. So we had another round of drinks and appetizers as we waited for a meal... More

We loved the view here so much that we ate here a few times during our short trip. You should have drinks outside on the benches near the ocean. The menu is kind of limited, but everything was nice. Great drink selections.

We arrived before the kitchen opened and had cocktails with some tasty shrimp fritters. I think the barkeep passed the bottle over my house named drink. Still before dinner I ordered another and to my surprise the waiter brought 2...seems I picked a 2 for 1 special. But it must be one shot of rum between the two. Fortunately dinner... More

You wouldn't realize from street but this is a great place. Nice area to eat looking out over the water. Big dinner selection. The night we were there had a DJ doing American 80's hits. Group had steak and shrimp dishes. Prices mid-range but definitely worth a trip.

Le Kano looks kind of dumpy from the street but it ended up being a fantastic meal. During dinner, there was a fashion show/beauty pageant of 6 young women, and there were quite a few locals there cheering them on, which was fun to watch. Food was excellent: kebabs, rice, hearts of palm, sauteed leeks, everything we had was delicious.... More

The staff was very helpful and attentive. My French is lousy, but they all spoke English, so that was very helpful. I had a Mojito to start. I asked for it to be made with local rum, since there are distilleries all over the island (and I'd put a visit to one on your to-do list). The Royal with champagne... More

The restaurant is perfectly located on the beach with marvelous views of the city. The atmosphere is welcoming and upscale casual. The food was delicious and flavorful (although I wanted a bit more spice in my meal). The servings were big and the meal was well presented.

Le Kano came recommended by staff at our hotel. We walked in and it was quite busy. The server advised she had seating on the beach overlooking the water. Would we mind? Not at all! We started with Mojito Royals (champagne, rum and muddled mint/lime - superb) before ordering cod fritters, conch, fries and avocado frites. Plates are small so... More
