Charming setting. The service is horrendously slow as it took almost an hour for our lunch to arrive, and when it did, it was cold-and not very appetizing. Dessert took 45 minutes to come to the table. Would not recommend.

After walking around Fort de France with some friends, we were looking for a place for lunch. We stopped into the Hotel L"Imperatrice. The restaurant on the second floor was a nice quiet spot above street level with a nice view of the park. The food was good, but not great. Everybody was happy with their meal. I had the... More

Truly Beautiful. A cool, light wood and china filled oasis in a tropical land. And the food was delicious. But a weekday lunch at Le Josephine is apparently a three hour party where almost everyone knows the hostess. I went upstairs and was seated swiftly. For the next 20 or so minutes the restaurant filled as other people entered and... More

My friend and I wanted to get a drink on a hot night in FDF and we stopped at the Hotel L'Imperatrice and their restaurant is called Le Josephine. We did not eat there but the bar area has a nice ambience which our own hotel lacked. We stayed for a while and had our drinks and it was very... More

They only had 3 items to choose from in the menu which was disappointing. The food was average, quite expensive. There wasn't an english menu available, and the waitress didn't speak any english either.

Sat at the bar for a while with some friends. Were completely ignored by the bartender the whole time. Did not come to our table at all. We have never experienced worse service.

Very friendly staff. Food was really good for an honest price. Too bad that sodas are served in a plastic bottle, together with a glass and a ridiculous straw...

I have been visiting Martinique for over 35 years and lived here for 6; I have never dined at this restaurant before because I couldn't imagine it would meet my requirements. I was wrong. The Imperatrice is ideally located in the city center, where you can enjoy the historical and cultural sites, and economic and administrative activities. The Imperatrice Hotel is... More

We had wonderful expectations of this restaurant. The restaurant itself and atmosphere is quite lovely. Quiet and elegant. The waiter was unfriendly from the moment we walked in. If he spoke any English, he did not admit to it until it was time to pay the check. He will most unhelpful about our questions about the menu. Of all four... More
