We wanted to try some Puerto rican food during our brief stay and this restaurant has received good reviews. We went on a very quiet night so our opinion of the noise level is irrelevant, but I can certainly imagine it being a lively spot. Decor was nothing special but on a busy night with good food and cocktails I... More

My wife and I had dinner at the Parrot Club without a reservation at about 6:30 p.m. We were seated promptly. If you came later you would have to wait. Service was quick and food items were explained. Food came reasonably quickly and all items were very good. The next morning I found that I did not have my credit... More

On a wet San Juan evening, 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids) sought refuge at the Parrot Club and had an excellent evening. Ryan the manager is excellent, knowledgeable, engaging and the perfect host. Wide ranging menu, food was good but it was the host that made it and would definitely return. Try the zacapa rum with ice!

I have visited this tried and true eatery often. I like to bring our visitors to this great establishment. The food never disappoints and a refreshing adult beverage is artfully prepared and much appreciated. The latest visit did not disappoint. Always a must for me.

After asking the doorman at the hotel and the cab driver about the Parrot Club we decided that this must be one of the best restaurant in Old San Juan. I will say the staff was very friendly. I am not sure what I expected in the way of Caribbean food but I found it somewhat lacking in flavor, that... More

Nice location, convenient when touring Old San Juan. Ambiance was good. The coconut shrimp and plantain nachos appetizers were very good. All the entrees were good, the churrasco stood out as well above average. The 3 star rating is for the very slow service. 6 pm reservation and we didn't get food till 7:30. Waiter apologized several times, but it... More

The Parrot Club is a nuevo Latino bistro and bar in the SOFO area of Old San Juan on Fortaleza Street. The Parrot Club is a longtime favorite of locals and visitors who enjoy a fun, friendly atmosphere, delicious Latin flavors and wonderful cocktails.Established in 1996, The Parrot Club quickly became a San Juan classic and a SOFO standard. Featuring innovative nuevo Latino cuisine from Chef Guillermo Gonzalez, the Parrot Club's menus spice up classic Latino dishes by combining fresh, local ingredients with modern culinary preparations. This results in flavors that are fresh and exciting. Try the Ropa Vieja Nachos, Pan Seared Shrimp with Arroz Chifa and our own Chocolate Coco Tres Leches. The impressive long blue bar is a scene in itself. Don't miss our world famous Parrot Passion, a frozen blend of Bacardi Limon, fresh orange and passion fruit juice or our classic mojitos. The Parrot Club was designed to take advantage of the colonial architecture of the building with its huge archways and tall beamed ceilings. The colorful art and design is vibrant and happening. Look into the open kitchen or step out to the lovely palm filled courtyard, perfect for private events or dining under the stars. With live Latin Jazz, a terrific weekend brunch, and family friendly lunch daily, there is always something going on in this exciting restaurant.
