After a morning of exploring Old San Juan we were hungry by noon. We ventured into the center part of OSJ and stumbled across Aureola. We ate inside and enjoyed the air conditioning. We needed a break from the sun. Chips and salsa were served on the house. A meal for two (enchiladas and tacos) and a beer came to... More

I was pleasantly surprised that the recommendation to dine here from the Hotel Staff turned out to be such an awesome experience. Our server/bar tender was very friendly & gave us a lot of history of Old San Juan. He reminded me of Al Pacino! The food was great the drinks were amazing & I especially liked the atmosphere. One... Spotted this place wandering around the old town after visiting El Morro. Beer was cold, food hot and tasty (we had the lunch special and thought it was a good deal). Barman very friendly and informative about other places to visit. Really enjoyed our time there.

My wife and I were spending one day in Old San Juan, noticed that this Mexican restaurant was not crowded late afternoon, and decided to give it a try. And were happy that we did! The atmosphere/decor was attractive (especially the well organized professional bar), the menu had a wide variety of delicious items, the service was terrific, and the... More

The bartenders/ servers are all really cute and nice. I came here with my girl friends and the guys that work here were joking around with us the entire time. Made our experience fun! The food was a little over priced and not the best I have ever had. But it was a fun place. We went on a Saturday... More

Decided to go for a quick lunch after a visit to the fortress. The atmosphere when inside is really Mexican and the food was great. We chose the ceviches and tacos and they were a real treat. The service is great.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant. I live in Southern California, THE land of good Mexican food. And Aureola cafe is right up there with the best of them. Great food. Very tasty. Has a slightly different flavor than traditional Mexican food and I LIKE IT! Closer to the flavor of Tex Mex. Prices are high, but this is a very... More
