There is a sign giving the wifi password and offering free drinks to customers who give five-star reviews on yelp or tripadvisor, so all the positive reviews you read should be suspect. We did not like our meal here and were shocked at how high the cost was for how average the food was. The food was overcooked and greasy.... More

We walked up the hill from the San Juan Gate. Turn right at the church and you'll see the menu sign outside a shop. Walk through the shop and don't stop until you get to the back. The place looks small but actually seats about 40 covers. We were only looking for an afternoon authentic Puerto Rican tapas & cocktail.... More

Food was great in the back and the store in the front has a great selection of jewelry and clothes. Not your typical souvenir store, high quality. A must visit if your in Old San Juan.

From the traditional mojito to the homemade custard, everything was tasty, really really good. We tried the alcapurrias, trifongo, fried meat, churrasco, pasta, pernil and mampotea'o. As a puertorrican I can say this has been one of the best local food I have taste.

We found this place hidden behind a store as we walked through the Old San Juan around dinner time. We ordered tostones with shrimp and the pulled pork (pernil). The pernil came with two sides and it was plenty of food!! Everything tasted really good! We really liked the garlic shrimp tostones and the pernil was super tender and flavorful.

LOVED this place. We went to a lot of different restaurants in San Juan, and Deaverdura and this were our favorites. It's a little hidden (you have to follow the signs and go through the little tourist shop to get to it). But it's a cute little gem that a lot of the locals go to. We got the Pernil... More

Stopped for just a drink and everyone was very friendly. Will come back for food. The restaurant was very clean and had lots of interesting pictures on the walls.
