We were seated and gave menus. We put our order in but it never came. A lady came up to us and asked if there was anything we needed. We replied our food. She acted surprised and went to the kitchen. She finally brought out...More

Order ahead (before noon the day of) if you want authentic Jamaican fare. If you don't, you'll be selecting from a burger-only menu. Great burgers; definitely a worthy break from Jamaican meals

Had not been here for about four years and Cherry was as welcoming as ever. As we had not ordered in advance, only the various types of burgers were available with fries. This was all excellent and in addition we had Cherry's home-made ginger beer,...More

I'm from western Canada, cattle country where we have top quality beef. I had a beef burger at Woody's and it was the best I've had. The bun was exceptional to complement the patty. The staff/owner and ambiance were really delightful...and very reasonably priced.

We had a large group here - and everything was prepared promptly and fresh. Woody & Cherry are excellent hosts - engaging, funny, caring. Ask Woody to play music for you and you are in for a real treat - we danced right in the...More

Charming little spot to get a quick burger if you're looking for a break from all the jerk, lol. Burger was tasty, and the home-brewed ginger beer was probably the best ginger beer I've ever had. Seriously. They also have veggie burgers on the menu,...More

The full house veggieburger was DELICIOUS and was cheap too (5 USD). Doesn't matter what you choose it can't go wrong! I loved to talk with Cherry and Charles. What a beautiful couple!

The food was very good and the service was quick, but they got three of the eight orders wrong! They gave a bun even though someone specifically asked for none, they added toppings even though we asked for none, and they made something spicy even...More

I recommend visiting Woody's on your way back home, great little treat to devour on the ride back. Make sure to buy 2 burgers. It's that good. Be prepared to wait a while for your order to be ready. It might be a burger, but...More

This and Wilkes are my go-to places for food in Portland parish. I recommend the callaloo veggie-burger (callaloo is similar to spainch) and the full house burger (a beef burger with fried plantain and all the fixings). And get them spicy!
