That calaloo stuffed slab of heaven with plantains on top was hands down the best veggie burger we've ever had. Fries were nice and fresh too. Loved reading the philosophical tidbits all over the walls!

Woody's was recommended to us for a great place to eat, not too expensive, and all around nice. When we arrived, it was after 9:00, and the menu was limited. The recommendation was for a hamburger, which was available, so we ordered hamburgers. The burger was fast food quality, and the price (as I remember) was a bit high for... More

The price is good, but the serving is small. Fries was the best thing. I was pretty disappointed, especially with all the good reviews that this restaurant has. I guess other people taste buds are just average.i have had a better burger at mc Donalds dollar menu. Hope this helps someone

The burgers are good and a welcoming change of the usual restaurants in Jamaica. With the sounds of nature/ jungle, soft lights, quotes on the wall and very friendly owner/staff it has his own vibe. Be preared: if you like a Jamaican dinner (3 course) you have to order before midday, because of the fresh ingredients they use. The 3... More

OMG .. You MUST get the full plantain burger! It was so delicious! It's easy to miss this place when driving by but if you're taking the route taxi, you can just tell them you want to get off @ Woody's and they know exactly where it is.

I have been here several times, Woodys has been in the NY Times & Vogue....excellent burgers and the veggie burger is made from real vegetables, not a bunch of grains which is typical of veggie burgers. I recommend the plantain half full if you enjoy meat or the veggie half full if you are vegetarian. Both sandwichs have plantains on... More

A fun experience that isn't in the craziness of town. We were staying near the GeeJam Hotel, so Woody's was super close. We decided to drop in based on other reviews, and they were spot on. The food was so yum!, even our very picky eaters enjoyed their meals. The fruit punch was more like a smoothie, and the home... More

This is always my go to place when in Portland. Ms. Cherry is a true gem and the love shows in her food and killer rum punch. I am always greeted like family and food is always superb. Be sure to get a bottle of rum punch to go, you will not be disappointed.

Woody’s Restaurant - for their burgers . Neat signs by the bathrooms - Adam and Eve. Mrs. Woody (Cherry) was cooking up the burgers for us and seems her hubbie’s name is the same as mine - Charles. This gave us something in common and made for a boisterous good time. As we were finishing up eating - Mrs. Woody’s... More

We are here twice on our trip. Miss Maxine makes good food. Would recommend to anyone. The French fries are to die for perfectly crisp.
