For 26 years Oliver has been serving very good Ital vegetarian food to residents and visitors in Port Antonio. My husband and I stumbled upon Survival after eating at the very popular Anna Banana next door. We wish we found Survival first. It has now become a regular place for us to get delicious rice and peas with fish (when... More

His meals changes every day, but you can be assured that it will be full of flavor and healthy! Its all fresh and very yummy AND for a great price. Arouns 500 jam dollar. Very cheap for the quality of the food! I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Super cool little restaurant on the water in Port Antonio. The food was brilliant and all vegetarian. And the chef is a really nice dude!

Once we came back after a hurricane season, and said to Oliver, "you're still here?!". He said. "yes, we are survival beach." Wonderful food, right by the water, might want to make sure you have mosquito repellent on. Callng ahead is helpful if you have a group.

The food here is really good. There is a lot of variety. Oliver ensures that the food is fresh. Do not expect a menu. He will let you know what is available. The meals he provides is based on the produce he was able to get that day. I had a vegetarian meal consisting of ackee, breadfruit, plantain, rice and... More

We ate here because we really did NOT care for the popular Anna Banana restaurant next door, where everything was overpriced and not all that great. Survival Beach, however, has good, freshly prepared ital (vegetarian) food that's much cheaper and much tastier! The guys here are very friendly and will cook you up a nice meal. Give them a try,... Excellent, fresh vegetarian food. REAL ital. cooking, served by beautiful people next to East Bay. No meat, no alcohol, but delicious vegetable dishes.

We had lunch here after going on a diving trip in Port Antonio. Jamaicans tend to eat a lot of meat, which we're not used to so it was great being able to get a completely vegetarian meal (they also serve fish). We had the ital stew with ackee and rice/peas and it was really tasty. We also liked the... More
