We tried to eat here during our recent stay. The website goes on and on about how great it is, and all of the reviews say it's not to be missed. We were really looking forward to Teddy's. When we arrived we were told it was closed for good and not reopening. We were given no explanation or apology. The... More

We have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here numerous times over many years' stay at the Blue Cave Castle. For breakfast, I really enjoy the Johnny Cakes. I often order Snapper and Calaloo for Breakfast/ Brunch. Sometimes with the Home Fries. The are perfectly done. The snapper is amazing. I also enjoy the Dirty Banana as a breakfast side. Rum... We have eaten at Teddy's many times within the last few years while staying at the Blue Cave Castle. Teddy's Hideaway IS kind of "hidden", don't let that deter you from stopping in for a delicious Caribbean meal. To get to Teddy's, you must enter the Blue Cave Castle's main entrance first; the restaurant doesn't have it's own entrance right... More

Located in the West End hotel, Blue Cave Castle, Teddie's Hideaway remains a terrific find. Teddie makes matchless Jamaican Breakfast--wonderfully flavored ackee and saltfish, with calaloo and Johnny cakes. We get it several times every trip to Jamaica (this year is number 14 for us). High points on his dinner menu are the bruschetta, the spicey shrimp and the stir-fried... More

I hold these thoughts like rare gems. Teddy pulls miraculous meals together and remains one of my best friends in Negril. Nough said! Do your taste buds a favor and stop by to spend an evening... I know you will never forget. I could describe his fine food, but try it. I promise you will go back for more.If he... More

I had been to Negril a couple of times and seen the Blue Castle where Teddy's Hideaway restaurant is but never went inside. Upon returning home to DC I kept reading amazing things about the food so my trip in July I made sure I stopped by to see Teddy and taste his food; all I can say is I... More

I have eaten here at least 20 times. Teddy is a true gourmet chef. He makes breakfast & dinner 7 days a week.. He has also added a lunch menu recently. The kitchen he works in is so tiny you wonder how he makes so many different dishes, each more delicious than the last. If you happen to be there... More

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Blue Cave Castle, Teddy was basically our personal chef, breakfast, lunch and dinner. On or off the menu he will cook it up for you, just give a little notice so he can get the supplies. By no means is it a modern kitchen or setting, yet Teddy pulls... More

Was here for dinner our first night in Jamaica. The curry conch was flavorful and well cooked. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the curry shrimp. The shrimp was overcooked and extremely spicy, even though it should have been the same sauce as the conch. In addition, the steamed vegetables were limp and flavorless. We did enjoy the ambiance,...
