Got the day's special. Think the soup had squash and potatoes. Pretty devoid of flavor. The entre, which was assorted vegetables, rice and peas, some cataloo and some dryish kind of salad with cabbage was served in a hot dog sized styrofoam container. It was food. Simply put, fills the stomach but ignores the taste buds. Did I forget to... More

Really delicious road-side stop with awesome ital food. Shadrock is lovely and serves a hearty heap of ital food with lots of different varieties. Just order everything he has - it's all good.

Just back from eating at this hidden gem. The food was out of this world. True Rastafarian food. All vegan, no salt, low oil. But it is so tasty that you won't believe it has no salt. The chef explained to us how he uses different natural ingredients like coconut to give it the taste of salt. We had the... More

Maybe Rasta Vegan is redundant, but this little road side shack is worth a look. Scratch made food every day. We had take out of a couple of veggie soups and a mixed plate of rice, cabbage, TVP ( textured vegetable protein ) and a veggie stew all for $10. Cheap and delicious.

My wife and I met Ras Rody ten years ago on our first trip to Tensing Pen in the west end of Negril. Although Ras Rody has since moved to the US to pursue his culinary dreams, his children have carried on the cooking tradition. The restaurant, which is more akin to a small food counter at a fair or... More

We visit this roadside restaurant every time we are in Negril - they make very good, wholesome Rasta food (vegetarian soups, sitrfries etc). Good prices. Highly recommended.

We met Shadrach while staying across the street at a local hotel. He explained in detail each item he was cooking for the day and let us try a sample of the soup. The flavors were absolutely delicious! I only wish we had found this spot sooner. It was my favorite meal while in Jamaica!

A Rasta man who knows his vegan food. Only 26 years old but has a wealth of knowledge about Ital food. I made a one take video which demonstrated just how much passion this young man has about his feed. We loved every dish, it's a must go place if your in Jamaica 🇯🇲

My wife and I have been going to Jamaica each year for the past ten years. Ras Rody's is our favorite lunch spot. We originally met Ras Rody and then his family. We go for the delicious nutritious healthy food, the friendly family vibes, and enjoying hanging out meeting interesting folks. I'll be back in two weeks. See you soon,... More
