My friend and I went here for our first dinner in the Dominican Republic. Tucked away through an almost-hidden door in the Zona Coloniale, we would never have known this place was just a block from our Airbnb were it not for Google. We went because it was the nearest place and we were exhausted, so we didn't expect the... More

The fish in coconut sauce was delicious, as well as the rice and beans that accompanied it. A very atmospheric place. The prices are higher than some restaurants, but if you come from the US or Europe they are not too out of line.

The food was poor and the price was high. We were told it was a good place to try traditional food but it was very bland.

This is the truly bohemian spot in the city, with a bunch of interesting people. The dominican food is excellent here, with the touch of a home made food. My favorites: rice and beans, creole fish, cativías de bacalo and dulce de coco.

We ate here after arriving late from our flight. They didn't mind us sharing a course. Their English was good and they had an English menu. The meal was reasonably priced and patrons were coming in to eat well after us

There is lots of great seafood on the menu. Their speciality is crab. Unfortunately, even during the crab season, crab is out of season at de Bari as is most seafood.

This is a hidden treasure in the Colonial Zone. I Saw them on Google map and realized it was close to the hotel. We were craving for some rice with chicken, beans and tostones. I was doubtful when I ask if they had it and was happily surprised when they said yes but I was even happier when I ate... More
