Be very but very patient. It will take a long time to be served at this restaurant. And by the way, they offer you and sell you Grouper (Fish) (Mero). It is a lie. Maitre D. recognized it after two waiters denied it. Not Mero. It's another cheaper frozen fish. Believe me, I do eat a lot of fish. Want... More

Pat'e Palo my favorite restaurant in Santo Domingo. I have never had a bad meal here. It is a definite a place to eat. Bone in New York Strip with a cauliflower puree and roasted cabbage. Enough for two people maybe even three.

Great food and atmosphere. The apple crisp appetizer is amazing. Our family of four all had different main courses and they were all incredible. Cool part is this place is located right by Christopher Columbus's home. Highly recommend visiting both.

I have been in Pata'e Palo few times in the last few months, I love the place. it's not cheap but worth every penny. Be aware that is always packed but generally there is always a table available. The service is great, the waiters are informed, polite and on top of your table. The food is just amazing. Try the... More

Excellent food and beverages, courteous, prompt, and very attentive service. The “A La Carte” menu was mouthwatering as well as the Deli entries. You have a choice of seating inside, or outside in the terrace with a wonderful view of Plaza España and its 16th Century buildings. If you are visiting, touring, or just passing thru the city, it is... More

My wife and I recently renewed our expat residency in Santo Domingo and we always stay in the Zona Colonial as it is fun and the restaurants and boutique hotels are great. This restaurant stands out as one of our favorites.

The location of this restaurant is excellent, right on Plaza Espana with a view of Diego colon's 16th century house. The food is also well prepared. I highly recommend the quinoa salad as an appetizer. I also enjoyed the seared tuna. The french fries were over-salted however. The service was very uneven. The waiters ere often unresponsive and indifferent.

Had dinner; opted for outside seating with a view of the plaza espana- cozy and nice. Had the guineafowl appetizer which is highly recommendable; their own mohijto and a baby back rib. Totaling R$2800 they know what to charge; but I got a fair quality, fast service and a wonderful view! Recommend if you want a hassle-free evening with good... More

Very expensive, bad service, best hour to go at night, crowded, bad service, food crazy expensive, wine list forget it. Location is nice but they use the plaza space in order to host customers, besides their small place. Overrated, there are many other places better in Santo Domingo
