My wife and I came here for lunch while exploring the downtown area. There are 6 stands as you walk in that offer similar but slightly different choices. I had the goat stew with beans and rice, she had the orca gumbo. Both were good and a good meal during the day. The tutu polenta my wife had was great.... More

Stopped in for lunch and it lived up to it's ratings. There are probably a half a dozen different places to choose from. We didn't realize this and when we walked in, a nice man named Frank greeted us and took us to a table. Ended up he was with Kushina A Brito which turned out to be really good.... More

Located within easy walking distance of historical sites in town. Under a rigid roof, the sides are open in places along the transparent heavy plastic sheltering one from wind and precipitation. One sits at long tables, picnic style. There is a selection of cooking kiosks from which to choose. We found an amicable and informative owner/chef who explained all the... More

This local "food court" provides great local dishes. Customers we saw were a mix of locals and tourists. It's a bit of a challenge to figure out how to order or which stall to go to but that's part of the fun. People very friendly and helpful. It feels just like the locations you'd see Food or Travel channel hosts... More

In this market place you will find +/- 6 different " kitchens" / restaurants. They all make local specialities from fresh fish, grilled meat and vegetarian dishes. When you enter the building immediately you will be stopped by promotors of the restaurants to persui you to eat at there place. Be relaxed and explain that you first would like to... More

Prices are between $8 and $10 for a meal that includes a generous portion of rice and beans, plantain, and a small lettuce salad. Drink is extra, about $2.50. Service for us was slow for some reason. We tried the pumpkin pancake. It had the spices of pumpkin bread, too. Hours are from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Good experience; good to very good food. Truly local food court type atmosphere, with 6 different small, similar restaurants. We were told the best we are the two ends of the hall. We walked in the central portion and the lady there motioned us to a table, which happened to be for her restaurant and seated us there. It was... More

If you want to sample the local food, this is the place to check out. There were 4 cooking stations when we were there. I had the curry goat that was out of this world. The plantain were also fantastic. We saw cops and school children having lunch here so you know it is the real deal.

It's a little overwhelming when you first walk in but it's a few separate vendors trying to show you their menus. There was also a kid standing with a bag of skinned iguanas all dressed in camouflage which was distracting at first. Hard to know which vendor is best but I'm sure they are all good. We went with one... More

This is the best place to try traditional cuisine, all the locals go for their lunch, many to take away. We wandered through one day after having just eaten and bumped into John who owns Gracia di Dios, he explained all his food and we agreed to return the following day for his specialty Iguana. So the next day we... More
