Normally i do not write bad reviews. To sit at zanzibar you will pay 12 guildens, before you order anything (entrance fee+chair). It took me half an hour to get the drinks menu plus an hour to get a beer and a drink. It was not a busy day by any means. The waitress was probably having a bad day,... More

It took us about 20min just to get the menu, the service was hardly polite. There are much better places in the island, don't go to zanzibar...

For some reason I thought this place wasn't going to be good, but the food here was consistently great--both for breakfast and dinner. The kids liked it too.

Honestly, we expected the least from this place compared to the other more fancy and marketed places around Jan Thiel. It doesn't look special or somehow specifically appealing. So we visited this place only at the end of our stay. However, it turned out to be one of the nicest surprises!! Extremely friendly waiting staff, perfect waiting times, fair prices... More

We went for lunch on a monday, and opted for the rotisserie chicken with beers. The chicken was well-cooked and still moist. There were fries on the side, and they were crispy as they should be. The chicken was laid on a bed of vegetables, which were very welcome as most beach-dishes are served with only fries. The service was... More

On saturday there is always one place to be in Curacao and that's Zanzibar....... or so you would think. I've stopped coming to zanzibar for a couple of reasons. 1. So much bar staff, yet they are slow as can be. you'll be waiting a long time for your drink, IF they even decide to make it. I asked for... More

Nice people, good service, great spot to have dinner. Very tasty food. Quite a difference with the papagayo beach club. Apparently there are working students here who are really trying to make you feel welcome!

At Zanzibar they have a pretty basi menu-card which offers something for everyone but I recommend the pizza's which they make in a traditional stone oven which you can see as soon as you enter the beach. The service is fine, the food was good and especially on a saturday it tends to get quite busy with the happy hour... More

I made a long trek from one end of the island to the other because of the reviews of this place. It's advertised as having an International menu with an East African vibe so my expectations were quite high. I found it to be neither of those things. It was perfectly fine. Went for lunch. Service was just ok. I... More
