A visit to this mansion will make you imagine how special visits here by the DuPont family must have been, from the 1920's. Like everything else, it was stolen by the communist government in 1959, who now struggle to maintain it, even with room rates...More
I visited Xanadu just before 9/11. I'm Cuban born, and as such wanted to revisit the place that brought back memories. I used to water ski right in back of Xanadu (from ages 5 to 12). I wanted to mention that it's arquitecture is very...More
We were taken to see the DuPont Mansion on a classic car tour of Varadero and very glad the driver chose to stop by this place. Fantastic bit of history, great setting, superb beach front and views when sitting outside for a drink. Internally, the...More

We were taken to Xanadu by our driver of our Cadillac it was very unexpected as we didn't know about it .It was a beautiful house and well worth the visit, quite exciting going up to the third floor in the creaky old 1930,s elevator.
Went here as part of an food and music evening, would recommend a visit if only to the top floor cocktail bars with wonderful views.
Beautiful atlantic view and great meals. The staff at the Xanadu were very nice and had hospitality. One of our friends had a birthday and they prepared us a birthday cake. We had very nice lunch at Xanadu.
One of three really great meals I had in Cuba. This one was on our last night and it couldn't have been better. Gorgeous views as right on the ocean, fine dining Cuban style, and great service. What more could you ask for?
