We lunched in this hotel's restaurant. It was a lovely setting, made even more appealing with the piano tunes. The lunch offerings were typical - more black beans and rice as well as choices of main dishes. The white table cloths were a nice touch, making the restaurant more formal and special.

An institution since 1817. The finest Daiquiris in the world. Excellent kitchen. I also spent last New Years evening there. Terrific.

Hemingway said the Floridita made the best daiquiris and he was right! It was very crowded and you have to hover around to spot when someone is about to leave and slide in lol. This spot was worth the wait. The regular daiquiri was delish and very good. The strawberry daiquiri was just ok though. Didn't get a chance to... More

No visit to Havana is complete without a stop, even for just one Daiquiri at El Floridita! Crowded with tourists, like me, but the hallowed walls and bar ooze nostalgia.

This restaurant has a small front lounge for enjoying music. There is a long bar on one side and small tables on the other side. Known for having the best daiquiri's in Cuba. That might just be true. (The drinks were a little higher than average drinks in cuba, they were 8 dollars which is good in the US but... More

My wife and I visited El Floridita twice as a major site for Hemingway interest in Havana. Beyond this, it is an exciting, fun place to spend some time. It always seems to be very crowded with a pleasant clientele. The daiquiris are a little bland, but they are just one reason to visit this special location.

The food and drink menu is definitely lacking, but they have live music and it can be fun with friends. The bar area is usually crowded and there is a photo op with Hemingway's statue at the bar.

Think this is a bit like Harrys Bar in Venice - you feel that you really should go but then wonder why! To be fair the service was quick and the music fairly ok but other than that...............cocktails were being multi mixed from powder whilst we were there and the funnel used for the juice made me wish I hadn't... This is an infamous bar - the place where daiquiris were invented, the place where Hemingway hung out - we went one evening - having swerved it one afternoon when a tour bus arrived but the evening was great fun - don't expect to meet many if any Cubans in there though - there was some great live music and...
