Stunning views , delicious food and attentive friendly service. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made a fuss of us , also gave us a wonderful table. We thought the food was very good and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. They presented us with a little chocolate cake and a candle to wish us happy anniversary and also had the menus customised for our celebration . We loved it. Definitely will come back. Having been to Barbados 5/6 times we hadn’t experienced champers but had heard lots about it all very complimentary . Staff were also very good, accommodating a change in our reservation late on and providing excellent service. Highly recommend .

Fabulous from booking to leaving. Beautiful setting for 50th birthday meal with husband and two grown up children. Service, food and ambience was all amazing. Unknown to me my daughter had been in touch and they had printed personalised menus to take away and a lovely brownie and sparkler to finish the evening. Between us we had Cocnut Shrimp, Pork Belly, Duo of smokes fish, pan fried chicken with linguine, shrimp pasta and parmasan crusted snapper, followed by chocolate cheesecake, white chocolate cheesecake, crème brûlée and chocolate torte - beautifully presented and tasted divine. Well worth the money, thank you for a memorable birthday evening!

We had lunch at Champers, which was a recommendation from a friend originally from Barbados. He recommended it as his favorite restaurant. Getting there was done by taxi, since our cruise ship arrived in Bridgetown and the restaurant was outside the city. It was easy to take a taxi. Champers is so named because of its champagne theme, evident in the logo. The restaurant overlooks a white sand beach with crystal clear blue tinged water. I included a photo to make the point. I opted for the coconut shrimp, which were excellent. My wife had the catch of the day. The fresh fish was also excellent. Service was professional and unhurried, but the staff explained they needed the table back 90 minutes after our reservation started. We like having lunch at noon. It seems locals on Barbados might prefer lunch at 1:30. We had local beers with lunch, which were good. Prices were on the high sides but this is a resort area and the restaurant is quite elegant. One things to keep in mind. Menu prices are in the local currency, the Barbados dollar. The exchange rate is 2 Barbados dollars for one US dollar. Put another way, prices are half what they appear. There is a service charge, but our server explained tipping an individual server is usually optional. We added an extra tip. We were thrilled. We had a great time. We would return.

We have been here many times in the past, the most recent was in march 2024. The meal as usual was excellent, and the service was spot on. I booked a reservation over a month and a half before we were to arrive and mention to them that it was my older sister‘s birthday and it was a significant birthday and we wanted to celebrate. My sister loves this restaurant as to all of my other siblings so you can imagine how upsetting it was to find out that our reservation had a seated right next to the server station where dishes were clanging cutlery, crashing, and fridge door slamming. It was like eating in the subway in Toronto. I made mention that this was not acceptable and the person on the front desk was quite busy about it saying oh we’re just so busy and it’s unfortunate but that’s the way it is. We were seated and given our menus, and the place settings had a little menu with a greeting to my sister and myself saying it was my birthday as well as hers. This was incorrect. My siblings ordered the Seabass coconut shrimp, and we all had Caesar salads. I have had the barracuda previously on many visits and so I ordered it again thinking I was going to be tasting some of the best fish the Caribbean has to offer. When our food arrived, I was shocked at how small the portions were my fish piece was maybe 6 inches long And it was quite thin and about 2 1/2 inches wide. My sister‘s Seabass was similarly small in portion size. My other sibling had the coconut shrimp and it was perfect for her. All around us, people were enjoying their food and they had a glass lantern on their table that was lit. Ours was never lit until the end of our meal when we were ready to go shrink inflation has happened to this restaurant and I don’t understand why they keep charging very high prices when the portion size is ridiculously small. Our meal and our experience at the restaurant was really not very pleasant. We also ordered a full bottle of wine and a dessert so the amount of money that we spent in this restaurant is not insignificant. I had booked another reservation for later in our stay, but I’ve decided to cancel. When we were leaving the staff at the front asked why I canceled. Frankly, I don’t think I can recommend this restaurant any longer and it was as if they really didn’t care. So sad because I’ve had so many great experiences at the restaurant and this was not one I’d like to remember.

We went for our anniversary lunch. It was literally the worst service in the island we have experienced. Our mains did not arrive for 40 mins and only after enquiring , they said it will take another 10 mins minimum .. in the end we asked them to stop the order. Throughout there was no communication on the delays .. weather be for the wine list or lemons. And no acknowledgment for the failings , nor for our special occasion. Both the manager and the owner were super defensive ... the best character of a place is how you react when things go wrong. In my experience I find the place to be greedy as they overbook the restaurant and then compromise on quality and service. Both the manager and the waiter said that the kitchen was very busy and the waiter said she had to look after a lot of tables. Food also very very average.

Would of been 5 but the reason for 4 stars is I booked an early time about 5:30p reserved about 2w in advance . I had asked for ocean table, unfortunately at that time they said they cannot accommodate, when we got to restaurant I had asked hostess if any cancelations for the ocean table she said no. They sat us towards the center. The ocean tables some few feet from us remained empty ,about 3 of them, with next/ last parties being seated at 7:30p ( the end of our dinner) reason I bring this up is for hostess to do better, it would have been nicer with the ocean sunset view oppose to the black floor fans which did not set the best ambience for photos. Food was delicious, portioned and plated beautifully, it was the best fine dining we had in Barbados. HIGHLY recommend

So impressive. We booked some months ago for our daughters birthday. Went with her, her husband and three young children. Given a fabulous waterfront table, all the staff passing wished her a happy birthday and there were personalised birthday menus on the table. Food was excellent and service efficient and friendly. Cost was very reasonable for the standard of food supplied and comparing to other restaurants. Very grateful to them for a special meal

There is little else to be said that other satisfied diners have not already confirmed. Champers is beautifully situated restaurant and is very stylish, with steel ‘rigging’ and wooden decking. It feels at times as if you are having lunch, while sailing on a small luxury boat! We had a beautiful ocean-side table and enjoyed the (bargain) Sunday Lunch special menu - in particular the lamb shank and barracuda main courses. Drinks were generous and prices were reasonable too. The staff were most attentive and the table was quickly cleared of empty plates and glasses. We took a deliberate break before ordering the dessert course, as (for us) everything was by then moving just a little too quickly. It was no surprise that every table was taken but the ‘deck’ itself never felt crowded. Clearly one of the top restaurants on the Island.

Visited Champers for Sunday lunch. When visiting the island we always try to book a Sunday lunch reservation. Price is great. Choice is more than generous and well, what a place to eat your Sunday lunch. Dining with a view to enjoy! Our Server Terrald was very attentive and provided a great service during lunch. I enjoyed the pumpkin and lentil soup for starters and the roast chicken for my main. The food was tasty, plentiful and a real treat for your tastebuds. The stuffing that accompanied my roast chicken was on par with Christmas Day dinner. I loved it!!! My husband enjoyed shrimp for starters which as always a firm 10/10!! For main he enjoyed the lamb shank. This smelt divine and the meat just fell off the bone. For pudding I enjoyed the coconut pie (another firm favourite from previous visits) it was sweet coconut topping and a perfect pastry base. My husband enjoyed the rum bread pudding which as always a hands down winner for him. We spoke with Erskine during our visit a very pleasant and charming man. Our whole experience at Champers is consistently a 10/10 for value for money, quality tasty food and in a most wonderful sea front location. Can’t wait to return again.

One of the top restaurants in Barbados didn't disappoint. We went here for our anniversary dinner on the recommendation of relatives who had been previously. The location, service, friendliness of staff and food were excellent. We had been asked, when booking, if there was a special occasion to which we stated it was our 45th wedding anniversary. We had an sea front table which offered superb uninterrupted views of the waves crashing into the rocks four metres below us and an amazing sunset. They had specially printed menus detailing our Sapphire anniversary, decorated the table with anniversary glitter and presented us with a small cake on a plate messaged with chocolate sauce detailing our special event. We were very touched by the effort they went to and will always be grateful to the staff for making our special day one to remember. Taking everything into account, this was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Many, many thanks Champers.

We went for lunch as two couples yesterday and had the most amazing meal. We took advantage of the $102 BBD fixed menu and were not disappointed. Starters we had were Ceasars salad, coconut shrimp and crap cepes, all were Excellent and came out in a timely fashion. Mains we had tubs and shrimp curry which again were all excellent. We were there to celebrate a couple of birthdays which were recognized on the front of the menus and each birthday was provided with a piece of chocolate cake with happy birthday written on the plate. This is a truly a great dining experience at a very cost effective price point and a spectacular view of Rockley beach and the ocean. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. Service is excellent from the moment you step onto the property till the moment you leave. Second time there and we will certainly be back. Enjoy.

After reading a recommendation online, we decided to book this restaurant for an evening meal. Remarkably, we were able to secure a reservation, after having taken a stroll there, for the same evening, despite usually needing to book far in advance. Initially, we were informed that we wouldn’t have a front-line view, but upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated next to the glass barrier with an unobstructed view of the sea. The prices were very reasonable considering the location and the quality of the food, with a three-course prix fixe menu costing £50. The staff were very friendly, and the service was efficient.

We booked a while on advanced to secure a table here for a birthday. We had a beachside table with a fantastic view. Comfy chairs and a lovely little extra they had personalized our menus to say happy birthday and my husbands name on them. That little extra was so lovely. The setting is wonderful and you are not sat too closely to other diners. All three courses were amazing. Pork for myself and scallops for my husband, fillet mignon and lamb for main everything was spot on. They also bought out cake for his birthday which was a really nice extra. Fresh bread and cocktails were all fantastic and better than we expected. Well worth booking in advance for and a relaxed dress code makes it even better

Having visited the restaurant on several occasions on our visits to the island over the years the evening was rather disappointing. Whilst our starters were very nice, such was the time we waited for our main course we actually paid our bill early and left without receiving them. The waiting staff seemed preoccupied serving some rather large tables of guests and we almost felt forgotten. I can’t deny it’s a wonderful setting and our previous experiences have been excellent but unfortunately on this occasion it wasn’t the case..

We were in Barbados with my father and partner, celebrating his 75th birthday. Several weeks prior to the trip we researched great restaurants for celebrating, and found Champers. We booked and were instantly asked if this was the celebrate anything. We confirmed a birthday and were instantly asked a few key questions. We then had a response to say a sea view table had been reserved for the special occasion. On arrival we were seated at a beautiful sea view table. Every place setting had a personalised menu, congratulating my father on his 75th birthday. Such a beautiful touch. There were the standard menu offerings, plus fixed price menus, with a reduced offering for each course. We all found dishes we really wanted to try on the fixed menu, which, in our opinion, was superb value. Service was top notch. Food was gorgeous, served at the right pace too. All of thought the experience and the food was delicious. Four of us dined, three courses each, a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine. Including service charge, this came to £312. For the location, food, and service, I think that’s pretty good for a high-end restaurant. Highly recommend.
