We love Lobster Alive. It’s on Brownes beach in Carlisle Bay a short walk from Bridgetown city centre and a slightly longer walk from Hastings where we are staying. We take the sun beds in the morning and pay USD15 which gives us vouchers for...More

Visited in November while on a family holiday and the food was amazing! Really well cooked and produce was high end (I had the lobster pasta which was to die for). The price isn't the cheapest but back in England you'd pay double the price...More

Not the cheapest meal you are sitting on what are basically picnic tables on the beach but there was a great atmosphere with live music and it was all very relaxed and fun. All in all it was worth the visit and we would return.

Lobster Alive was simply amazing! We dined here with a friend on the last night of our holiday and couldn't have been happier with the location, service, food and atmosphere. The lobster spring roll was good, the chowder a little lack luster, however the stars...More

A lovely setting with our table actually on the beach. A good menu but expensive. We went there to treat ourselves and were pleased with our meal choices.

There's really no lunch menu. They may have a special of the day, but the menu is standard for the day.

To be sure why not email them directly. They are very prompt in replying and very helpful. If you have a Sunday in Barbados then I would recommend the Sunday jazz lunch. It is a great atmosphere.

The restaurant initially began as a wholesale distributor for the island's hotels and restaurants. Cooked takeaway service was added; along with a friendly free beer while you wait. Shortly after that the health inspector demanded we go the whole way or "wholesale only". This was around 1998. Long time friend and fellow musician with the local VSOP Jazz band "Stu Jenkins" became the resident artist (designer) and we named the up coming restaurant "LOBSTER ALIVE and all that Jazz". We felt our way; with many of the usual restaurant mistakes. But it seems now, we have scored quite well with international critics, restaurant guide books; and our many repeat customers.
