The food here was great - a little pricey but definitely recommended. Best place we ate on the island

You go here for Lobster, you have to try it, it's the best, fresh and cooked to perfection. We were there on a Thursday night, the Jazz was good and the girl singing added a nice touch, particularly her rendition of Route 66.

It was the most expensive meal of our trip, but if you are a lobster fan, it's worth it. My wife and I split the 3 pound lobster done to perfection. My wife and I are both musicians and we also enjoyed the live jazz,...More

Fabulous beach front location with amazing food. We were made to feel very special thanks to our very lovely and attentive waitress Samiann. We will definitely visit this restaurant again!

We visited this casual beach front restaurant on Carlisle Bay on the last day of our cruise - it’s approx a 30 minute walk from the cruise terminal. The staff are friendly and helped us to chose a lobster from the huge tank at the...More

This was a day stop off a cruise ship. This beach is right in front of the restaurant where they rent umbrellas and loungers. This is a great beach where you can access an excursion out to swim with the turtles.

Last year there were a few disappointing things, but this time everything was exceptional. We all agreed this was the best meal we've had here, and the Sunday entertainment was spot on. Thank you.

We LOVED this place!! Small, intimate, relaxing. Literally right on the beach. You can request a table inside, on the deck on on the beach. We sat at a table on the beach literally in the sand and dined by candlelight on a gorgeous, warm...More

There's really no lunch menu. They may have a special of the day, but the menu is standard for the day.

To be sure why not email them directly. They are very prompt in replying and very helpful. If you have a Sunday in Barbados then I would recommend the Sunday jazz lunch. It is a great atmosphere.

The restaurant initially began as a wholesale distributor for the island's hotels and restaurants. Cooked takeaway service was added; along with a friendly free beer while you wait. Shortly after that the health inspector demanded we go the whole way or "wholesale only". This was around 1998. Long time friend and fellow musician with the local VSOP Jazz band "Stu Jenkins" became the resident artist (designer) and we named the up coming restaurant "LOBSTER ALIVE and all that Jazz". We felt our way; with many of the usual restaurant mistakes. But it seems now, we have scored quite well with international critics, restaurant guide books; and our many repeat customers.
