I had the goat water, and it was delicious. Authentic Antiguan flavor. The restaurant is a little bit off the main road that takes you to Admiral's Inn.

Most authentic restaurant around - if you're looking for a proper Caribbean meal out, this is absolutely the place. A little off the main strip, but worth the trek. We had the calico soup, grilled fish, and jerk conch. All of these were really tasty...and well cooked. I hadn't seen jerk conch anywhere else, which is what drew me to it - would recommend if you have the chance! Finished with a banana split and a pineapple cake. Once again, both really tasty, but would recommend sticking with the Caribbean options. Would recommend booking if you're a larger party so they can prepare, as service was a little slow. Great portion sizes, good value for money, exceedingly Carribean.More
If possible we always prefer to find local traditional places to eat & as Caribbean Taste was listed in Lonely Planet guide we decided to go for dinner. The lady owner (I presume) was very welcoming on arrival we were the only customers. She gave...us mozzy spray to ward off the wee beasties but we preferred not to use it. The menu was fairly limited & only wine available apart from soft drinks. We ordered a crab cake starter to share & it was literally that , 1 crab cake which was OK. We were then served a small bowl of salad before goat curry & jerk conch. The jerk conch was very tasty as was the accompanying rice & peas & vegetables. My husband was disappointed with the goat curry which had a lot of bones & although savoury was not particularly curry flavoured. We ordered pineapple bread pudding & banana cake for desert which were very nice. Unfortunately this restaurant didn't really live up to our expectations & we have had better value authentic Caribbean food in other restaurants in the English Harbour area.More
We had dinner at this restaurant tonight. It was absolutely wonderful. The owners are so nice and the food was excellent! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Called for lunch and made very welcome. Many choices of food to suit everyone - local dishes, salads, roti, burgers and fish n chips. Would highly recommend!
We were on an island tour and the guide took us here for lunch…… WOW amazing food! I had conch curry and my husband had curried goat. The lady serving was very attentive and answered any questions we had. Her husband was the chef and...he did a fantastic job. The food was so authentic and locally sourced. Barry, our tour guide joined us, I think if local people eat in a place then that’s a good thing. We loved it. Thank you !!More
Great local Caribbean food and very inexpensive (lunch for three people was only $36). If you have a chance definitely stop by
Had high expectations, not many places are serving Caribbean food in the evening in the area, especially out of season. Lovely couple running the place but that's about the only positive thing. Food was not great, you can get much better meals on the side...of the road or from any of the small shacks serving food but they are not open in the evenings. Very very expensive for what it is and it certainly not worth more than a quarter of what they charge. I do not like giving negative reviews to truly local businesses but give this place a miss!More
Stopped here whilst on an Island tour, such a lovely welcome. The menu is on a chalk board, there is a mixture of local dishes and a variety of burgers with fries. We had the curried goat and chicken stew both served with rice&peas, vegetables...& salad. They have lots of drinks to chose from aswell, the mango juice was excellent. Definitely worth a trip.More
So glad we found this little restaurant! It’s tucked away behind the main hub of Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour and just what we wanted. It serves excellent and traditional Caribbean food - the family that own and run it have been there for 22...years - so they must be doing something right! It was wonderful to see local residents coming in for takeaways too It’s an all too rare opportunity to taste and experience authentic Caribbean cuisine so go and enjoy!More
My husband and I went for dinner and loved our visit! We arrived and were the only customers and the owner and her daughter were inside chatting (which we thought was lovely) and instantly laid a table for us and offered us drinks. There is...a simple but perfect menu which is listed on a chalkboard and includes local dishes. We chose goat curry and shrimp from the menu. I asked for the shrimp to be peeled which they did - no problem. Both meals were absolutely delicious and were both served with rice, potatoes, salad and vegetables. My husband and I love spicy food, so they offered us some homemade spicy sauce which was VERY spicy but gorgeous (we were able to purchase a bottle). This is a lovely family run restaurant and were so kind and friendly - we will definitely be going back with the rest of our family before we leave the island! We would definitely recommend!More
We're staying in the area and wanted a authentic Caribbean experience, I was most excited to try ducana but wasn't seeing it on the menu of other restaurants nearby. Luckily, we stumbled upon Caribbean Taste and were blown away. We tried the chicken and conch...roti, ducana dish, goat curry, and conch salad dishes. All were outstanding, the roti filling was flavorful, piping hot and the dough was a perfect texture. We loved it so much the first time, we came back the next day to try more- and we will be back again! All paired perfectly with local passionfruit juice. The people working were friendly and helped us navigate the menu (and not over order) If you're looking for a true authentic experience, this is the place. Not to mention, everything is very affordable ( compared to other restaurants in the area)More
We were very pleased to find Caribbean Taste courtesy of Trip Advisor, whilst there is a sign at the bottom of the road it is hidden behind a couple of houses. It is a “proper” Caribbean restaurant, not much spent on the décor, just a...chalk board menu and a nice greeting from the waitress. The callaloo soup was excellent and the goat curry tasty. For some reason they didn’t have any beer but they do sell wine which by Antigua prices was very reasonable.More
This was one of our favorite restaurants in the island. Casual, very authentic, and very much off the beaten path. We visited the English Harbour area on 12/29. We asked our boat captain for a recommendation for local Antiguan food, as many of the restaurants...cater to the tourists in the area. The older woman who served us was very nice and proud of the local cuisine. Her food had wonderful flavor, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. My husband had the curry goat, I had curry conch, and my son had the beef roti. I got mine with fungee as a side. We finished every last bite. The homemade juices were also delicious. The whole lunch cost us about $40 USD!More
Very nice authentic experience. Wonderful staff- really kind and the lady serving us got along very well with our 2y old son. Jerk pork was the highlight; mahi mahi fish also excellent. Recommended.
