This is one of those restaurants that we’ll talk about for years to come. Great hosts, lots of vintage memorabilia to browse at and the food was sensational. Highly recommend this unique dining experience.

Heard about this restaurant during our last stay in the area, but we could not get a reservation. Knowing that we were returning, we reserved well in advance and we were glad we did. Wendy and Robert are fantastic hosts. Very welcoming. We got there...a little early and they suggested that we grab one of our drinks and walk the property. The place is eclectic with pieces and photos from around the world. The rule there is BYOB, so after enjoying a before dinner drink, we sat down to a feast. Starters was a vegetable puree with toasted to perfection garlic bread. We ordered the beef, chicken and lasagne. The 500g sirloin beef was a proper medium rare as ordered with a finely grilled exterior. The chicken skin was fought over by the three of us. The skin was crispy and the interior meat moist and tender. The lasagne was shared by all of us. Each meal came with salad and a baked potato. The potato was beautifully baked and was complemented with butter, sour cream and blue cheese. The dessert was apple cobbler with fresh cream. Overall the meal was great and the hosts serve a ton of food, which we happily brought home for lunch the next day. We cannot forgot Nicky, who catered to all of our needs. When we return to the area, The Cow Shed will be on our list.More

From the moment we arrived at the quirky converted cow shed we knew we were going to have a fun night. We were greeted by the owners and made to feel very welcome. It was suggested we might like to eat our entree out side...in the garden or what would once been the yards of the cow shed. It was a lovely summers evening and with our BYO wine in hand we enjoyed the tasty entree of bruschetta. One of the charms of the Cow Shed is that fact it is a set menu you just choose whether you want Chicken, Lamb, Beef or Vegetarian. But be warned the mains are huge, a whole chicken, 500gm steak or half a lamb rump. Not the place to take old Aunt Milly who is on a diet. But don't panic if you don't finish your meals, as they are quick to offer take home (doggie) bags. One thing I will say is the meat is cooked to perfection!! If you are in the area this is a great place to dine, but remember you must book. We will be back.More

Oh my, do try the Cow Shed Restaurant and at this time of year, the Pop Up Cafe. Not only is the food incredible - both restaurant and cafe - (I've been several times and my dad insists on a visit when he's over from...Australia), but they use metal straws and store their food in pyrex rather than plastic. What a joy to have amazing food and environmentally conscious staff. They are the real deal. Rare to see excellent delivery of the three parts of what I consider most important in hospitality: a) such amazing customer service; b) bespoke, contemporary food with a twist; c) sustainability culture.More

We booked the Cow Shed for our Anniversary dinner. It was a quiet night and only 1 other table was booked. It is a great place to look around with many interesting things to look at, even a hat collection to try on. You order...your meal before you arrive so you can just sit and look around. The hosts are very friendly and the crockery is quirky. I couldn’t believe when I ordered the chicken that it meant a whole chicken. A great place.More

Great food and plenty of it. Excellent service and good prices. Quirky dining room and a great place to go with a group. Best news is - it is BYO. (Saves you the $$$ for the cab ride home)

Each year the cow Shed opens a pop up Cafe for breakfast / brunch/ lunch. Thanks to Rob & Wendy's Daughter and Son in law, who come over from Melbourne for the month of January. This is a wonderful addition to the normal Cow Sheds...normal evening only hours. The food is top class. The service warm , friendly and very efficient. And can't wait for them to re open it next January.More

Had a really nice morning here having Brunch with friends. The food is fabulous, the setting rural and peaceful and the service excellent. Try to get there before they close on 28 January.
