We were travelling from interstate and called in at the Sir George on our way to a friends wedding. Very impressed with the renovations to this old hotel, it has been tastefully and authentically decorated. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and visiting the shop before sitting down to a beautiful dinner. There was ample choice of dishes on the... More

Nice place. Food OK. It's been recently renovated. Nice big dining room with rough sawn tables and a fireplace.

Visited the rustic old pub for lunch today. Great menu at reasonable prices, and the staff were lovely. Unfortunately my schnitzel was overcooked and dry. However my wife and our friends enjoyed their (different) meals.

The Sir George Hotel has recently reopened, and it really couldn't be better. We locals feel we've hit the jack pot! Teamed with a really tasteful fit out and gorgeous landscaped gardens with outdoor eating available, this wonderful old pub now has a new lease of life. Great pub style food, lots of interesting rooms with beautiful furniture and lots... More

This place is gorgeous and the food I've had is delicious! We stopped on the way through and also on the way back but within reach of Canberra so will be back just to come here. Inside cozy seating and also outside tables under the grapevines....you can bring a rug and have a picnic if you have kids. The chicken... More

Turned up on a chilly night after booking 2 weeks ago to find out your sitting outside in the cold and very poor lighting. The place was well over booked with to many people there we were there pretty early in the night with them already running out of food. Ordered curry seafood which was supposed to have 4 or... More

The joint was really jumping when we called in for Sunday lunch, with most tables both inside and outside in the delightful garden occupied. The old stone hotel has been beautifully restored and tastefully modernised, with a bar, a number of small rooms and a large addition at the rear to accommodate the kitchen, facilities and somewhat crowded inside tables.... This place is just wonderful. Beautifully renovated and stunning interior design inside the pub. The pub is split into lots of little to big spaces that would suit numerous parties, functions, dinners etc for a range of clientele (including families, lots of play space for kids). We had lunch out the back, under the vines, the food was sensational and... More

A fantastic spot to stop and rest on the motorway. Great food and quick service. The pub has just been renovated and big kitchen has been put in along a wood fired oven that bakes the best bread anywhere. Tip they bake on weekend's and a loaf of the best sour dough to take home is a real treat.
