We had lunch here one day and tea on the next day and both experiences were magnificent. The food on offer is delicious and with ample portion sizes as well. The staff are friendly and courteous. The McCartney's Shop is just amazing indeed. You could spend the entire day in there marvelling at all the food that is on offer... More

Called in today ( Friday)for lunch with my wife. Waited about 10 minutes fr a table and were given one downstairs. Ordered a coke and a tea which arrived immediately, then ordered stew and pie. This took a further 35 minutes to arrive by which time the tea was cold. When it arrived the stew was also cold. And all... More

Thought we'd give the place a try for lunch, wish we'd gone elsewhere. Pie of the day chips and beans was my choice, the beans were over cooked and were gone in two forks, the pie was tasty enough but very small, I expected more of an effort, a small salad, or a sauce/gravy of some sort to brighten the... Good food, 12 piece fry and a coffee never disappoints. Service could be better. Will be back though

Since I didnt make it into the bistro, I'll review the shop. Usual array of sausages, sausages and more sausages. Would have like to have seen more chicken as in something different from rolled in parma ham/chopped up in pepper sauce. A little chicken paupietette would have been nice. Not a lot of fish or ready prepared food- room for... More

Went to the cafe here above the shop. They were very busy so took a while for order and food to come.Well worth the wait.I ordered the pie with mash and veg.Lovely- only complaint was that it was covered in gravy.I would have preferred it separate.Piping hot and full of flavour.Great choice in menu and reasonably priced.Worth a visit.

Nice young staff but the worst food I've had in a long time. We asked to get food adjusted for a diary allergy, which they did but sent out a terrible plain and tasteless meal. No imagination or creativity away from the obvious dairy products. Worst of all it was Expensive and a long wait for it. Try somewhere else... More

haven't been in here for some time. Went upstairs, tables not cleared and sat at a dirty table. Waited for ages for menu, order was wrong, young waiter standing around gassing to customers while others waiting to be served. Overall a particularly poor experience and I was not alone. I saw one couple leave before ordering and another complaining about... More
