Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped in Neerim for a quick morning tea and wandered up the main street looking at options. Misty Hills looked inviting and not overcrowded. Staff were very nice, food and drink excellent. We sat at the window overlooking the street to watch the world...go by. Although not that many people in the cafe when we were there, there was a constant stream of people coming in for takeaway. Highly reccommendedMore

In the "middle of everywhere", searching for a light lunch, we found this small cafe - SUPERB selection of the yummiest pies (thin flakey pastry, divine salad on the side). Well worth finding!

Dropped in for coffee 9/12/21. Friendly, cheerful staff, service was quick as greased lightening but faster, coffee and toasted banana bread was delicious. Have been there many times and the food is always very good. We take our granddaughter and we always enjoy the visit.

I stopped here today for a late lunch... it has the most controlled Covid measures of any cafe I have been into. It's a small cafe and it's roped off. You wait just inside the door and tell the person who comes to greet you...whether you want to be seated inside or out, you leave your details and you sanitise. The young lady who greeted me was lovely... she showed me to table four. I ordered a croissant and a lactose-free coffee and sat at the table. Service was actually quite quick. Value was good... and their menu was quite generous. Everything is made on the site. I really enjoyed my food and coffee. This is a solid country cafe... well worth popping into.More

Had breakfast on two consecutive days. Good bidg breakfast and coffee at reasonable price. Service more relaxed than in city cafes. Most locals visit for take-away coffees etc. Currently also open Sundays.

This area is very pleasant to drive through and it is enhanced by one of the better cafes I've been to in a long time. Country style but with some decent service, friendly staff and moderate pricing. We had two coffees, a bowl of wedge...chips, a chicken focaccia and a salami focaccia and had no problems devouring them at all. Clean and spaced appropriately so you can chat without having others check in on what you're saying. The TV near the window was on but not loud and the staff were a plus and a half. Very friendly and keen to help. My only knock down was the chips were perhaps a little too long in the fryer but that said they were very good and my partner had no complaints at all. The food was fresh and nothing was too much trouble for the people working there. You sensed they liked their job and it was a bit sad having to leave after a half hour or so. One thing is I'll return and hopefully they will be at least as good as they were on this visit. They had their regulars coming in and also tourists who were not disappointed. Mark this cafe down as one to visit when in Neerim South and while coming into the town from Warragul check out the carving of the Norse God Odin on a tree (right side of the road). It is really very good. The Misty Hills just for me was only a fraction off excellent which I rarely give to anyone. Might have got that five stars had I had the chance to stay longer and soak up the really good atmosphere in the place. And dunking the chips in tomato sauce rather than the chilli or cream sauces. I'm sure had I asked for tomato sauce they would have provided it thoughMore

I've been to this cafe a few times now. Good coffee and the staff are always happy and helpful. Breakfast menu will be 'tweaked' to your preference, with no problem. Cookies, cakes and doggy treats made on site.

Had a lovely late lunch. The ladies were very nice and patient with all the hungry children!!! The food was prompt and fresh. Great variety. Children wanted something not on menu, but staff made it anyway. Very reasonably priced. Eat indoors or outside. Parking of...front. Great new owners - good luck.More
