This was our second stay in Elie. FIrst time was during stricter covid restrictions so we only got to have a drink in the beer garden, This time things were not so strict so we were able to eat in the restaurant and drink in...the bar a few times. This is a lovely wee pub and I cant wait to be back in Elie and head there again for a pint. The staff are really friendly and the food is great. Overall the ambience is just perfect after a day of walking on the coast, A great relaxing pub, with a good selection of beers whiskeys and gins. If you are in the area then definitely worth a visit - you will not regret it.More

We recently visited the ship inn in Ellie to celebrate my husbands birthday. When we arrived we asked if they had a table free and they said sit anywhere. We sat in the bar area, however no one discussed that the menus were available on...the bar and that it was bar service. We both ordered fish and chips. When it arrived at the table it looked wonderful but once you started eating the meal I quickly learned it was more batter, which was very greasy, than fresh fish, which was tasty but not a lot off it. At almost 15 pound for a fish supper (and the locality to the east neuk) I was hoping it would have been the best fish supper ever. But not to be . Once home I felt ill and needed tablets for heartburn from the greasy batter. PS don't place the fish on top of the fish as that makes the chips greasy as well.More

This my first visit to this part of Scotland, We had a few drinks during the day outside this venue, but we had already booked an evening meal there. The staff are very efficient, polite and there seems to be so many of them working during the...day . We all had the fish and chips, the haddock was so fresh. This is obviously a very busy restaurant, children and dog friendly. The bar is well stocked, and the wine list is very good, the Malbec was extremely good. Highly recommended.More

We have visited the Ship on many occasions on our visits to Fife but sadly this will be our last. The prices are ridiculously high and they have priced themselves out of our market. £13 + for a glass of wine is obscene. Two drinks...and a bag of crisps (which were stale and soggy) for over £20 which included a 10% service charge. The service charge was removed as I think if your buying drinks from a bar there’s no real service. Sorry but you’ve lost our trade the pub is a beach pub not St Marks square in Venice.More

I understand the Inn has a free bus or taxi they use for guests. If you phone the Inn the staff will be able to give you more info but I am sure something could be arranged
