Very good Chinese (Hong Kong) restaurant in the middle of Ranelagh. Luckily it's within walking distance of where I lived so visited on numerous occasions. Extensive selection food wise, good wines and great cocktails. Must also give the staff a big thumbs up.

Just had my first experience of Mak which Iv wanted to try for ages now and I was NOT disappointed. We made a very last minute booking for 6:30 on a Saturday night for a table of 4. We were informed that they would need the table back at 8:30 which was fine. As it so happened we lost all... More

Went to Mak for dinner with my sister who is coeliac. We knew that Mak catered for coeliacs but were very pleased to see that they had a specific menu for coeliacs. This was a great start to our evening, so often we have been to restaurants that claim to cater for coeliacs but either have no coeliac options on... More

We visited Mak on a busy Saturday evening with no reservation. They had one table free for a limited time so we didn't mind taking it. The restaurant was very busy, interior was nice but very loud and busy with staff rushing past the table constantly. Staff were friendly. Pork bao was more of a slider than an traditional bao,... Busy restaurant with loyal clientele because the food is well-cooked and the atmosphere is great. Look for a table to the left of the entrance if you want a quiet spot.

It was my first visit. It did not disappoint. We had the ribs and tofu to start. Main courses included the house special curry. My only slight complaint was the food could have been a little warmer .. but quality .. service and the wine list very good. I will be back.

We finally got to visit this place last night 24/01/2017. Having read lots of great things I've been dying to go here for a long time. Delighted we made the half hour trip from Wicklow. From start to finish the evening was outstanding. The waitresses were so bubbly and friendly and made us feel so welcome. Their knowledge of the... More

The best thing about this restaurant is it's atmosphere and decor inside. The food was also delicious, although a little on the pricey side. All of the vegetarian options included tofu as the only option, and it would have been nice to be able to get mixed vegetables or something else instead of tofu. The dessert menu is also quite... Went to Ranelagh as an alternative to Dublin city centre. Excellent choice of food options and only because every where else was so busy did we stumble on this Chinese restaurant. It seemed every was out for a post Christmas blow out. After a short wait my wife and I got a table. A good array of options for starters... More
