If you're not staying here you can make reservations only one month before. View of canyon only one one narrow side of the dining room, which we were not seated at. After the 2 mile walk along the rim from the visitor center with breathtaking views, it was disappointing to see only the parking lot in the dark dining room.... More

Great lunch and service. We had the Salmon, Ribeye sandwich and Tacos. Food was excellent all around. For lunch you have to get there before 2PM. Dinner you need to call a number and make reservations.

Tonight we dined at El Tovar Dining Room at 5:30pm. I got reservations two months ago for the 4 of us. White tablecloth and grand room. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had prime rib, lamb chops, salmon salad, crab stack appetizer, chocolate mousse dessert and raspberry sorbet. We were never rushed and spent a great... More

Came to eat breakfast based on all the reviews. Put our name in and when we were called, they brought us to a table away from any of the windows. Asked if we could be seated at one of the 2 open tables by the windows overlooking the canyon and was given an extremely dirty look from the hostess who... More

Great service and large portions. Window tables allow you to watch the sunset over the Grand Canyon.

Lots of hype ... get your reservation months in advance they said .... so we did! I was expecting huge windows with a view of the canyon - not so! Yes, the food is the best you can get at the south rim - but I guess I don't expect to eat like a foodie in a national park. The... More

The food was fine, but nothing memorable. Nobody complained about their meal, but I doubt anybody would request to go there again. There aren't a lot of options at The Grand Canyon, so probably worth a trip if you want a sit down meal while you visit. Prices were better than expected.

We parked at visitor center and walked the approx 2 miles to the restaurant...it was crowded. We did wait probably 30 minutes, but the lodge itself is beautiful and there are a couple of gift shops. The dining room itself was beautiful and historic and the food was good.

Good wine list, complete menu and great service! We had a steak that was good but the reduction (sauce) was outstanding. The pork loin special was very good, the sauce, vegetables and presentation were all really delicious. Overall, this was a great experience.

This is a nice restaurant that makes you feel like you have stepped back into the 1920's. Food and service are great, but it is expensive. A good place to celebrate a special occasion while at the park.
