Prices are basically the same as at the steak house at the ranch and the setting, service, and perhaps even the food is better. A bit more formal and less child friendly but I recommend it for lunch and dinner.

We made dinner reservations days in advance, and were said to be quite lucky getting a Sunday sitting. The place was nearly empty, but that gave us a chance to enjoy the artwork gracing the dining room (Thomas Moran, Frederick Remington, Walter Ufer, etc.) from the collection of Xanterra owner Phillip Anschutz. Over the fireplace, a wonderful portrait of Fred... More

A boring throw-back dining experience -- unimaginative menu, overpriced. It is something my grandmother would have loved 50 years ago. Our server was delightful -- young woman from Alabama, I think.

Two dinners and two breakfasts. Food tasted good but served cold twice. Should have been better for the price. Disappointing. We stayed at the Inn (also disappointing) mostly so we could get dinner reservations at the Inn dining room.

We ate breakfast here one morning and dinner one evening. The breakfast was very big and quite tasty, but very expensive (~$20/person). The custom omelet, which I originally planned to order lists about 8 ingredients, but our server noted that only 4 may be ordered without incurring an additional charge. (He said this has been true ever since he started... More

My wife and I had dinner reservations and showed up a little early, so we had a glass of wine in the lounge which was comfortable with a nice view of the valley. Dinner was outstanding, notable were the beet salad and the bread. We had Roy, our excellent waiter, take the bread away before we ate it all. The... More

Xanterra rides on the coat tails of former glory in what was the best dining option in this national park. Food has gone way downhill, but not the prices. Take a look to see what a first rate hotel dining room used to look like (now quite bare) and take your meals at the Ranch

We had our final family dinner in Death Valley National Park at the Inn. The food and service was fantastic. Beet salad and onion tarts my favorites.

How does 2 hours for a mediocre breakfast sound? If that's your idea of heaven, than head on over to the inn! We got there at 7 am to find a half full dining hall. We were a group of seven, and yes there were a couple large groups there at the time. Still, the place was half empty. Literally... More

We were in Death Valley National Park for only two days, however we make sure we ate at the dining room of The Inn at Furnace Creek both evenings. The food was outstanding as was the service. I have a vegetarian diet but had no issue with obtaining a fine dinner from their menu. Their deserts were also outstanding. Eating... More
