Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Their signature tsukemen is amazing, probably my top one at the moment! Flavour is amazing and the meat was tendo. Also the noodles had the most satisfying texture. Can't fault with the meal I had here.

Went here with my sister twice during our recent stay in Tokyo. As a ramen lover I have visited quite a few places and almost never do I go back to the same place except when I find the perfect ramen and loveliest people that...make it. Thank you 😘More

Was astonished with how quickly our orders arrived. Food was tasty but for me, a little too salty. I ruined the hot chicken dish I had!

I brought my aunty to the outlet at vivocity and the service was OK.. Not the best. Neither the less the food came fast after we took our order... Questions were answered by the waiter... The food arrived at our table and we tucked in....Broth was salty for my aunty's black garlic broth and her pork was over cooked. I had the spicy version with thick noodles. My broth was somewhat salty too. But the bad part was my pork was very salty. If I had to pay 22.90 for the set of which we both did, we didn't enjoy one bit of it. Good thing we had drinks on the side as it helped us to deal with the saltiness of the broth and the pork. This should be dealt with as not all people like salty food. We have patronised the outlet at Westgate before and we were very satisfied with the quality of food.More

The thrill of searching for the place was half the fun! And the dining experience was worth every step we took to it. Enjoyed the clean noodles, egg was perfectly cooked. And the soup and broth, to die for! Words could not express nor does...ir give any justice how awesome our experience was. And as of this writing, we are on our second bowl! Thank you Menya! I'll see you again really soon!More

Been coming here for over 15yrs! Every time we visit Japan, we gotta stop by Menya Musashi 麺屋武蔵. It started with just 2 of us, and now it has become our daughter's MUST GO ramen place in Tokyo. The soup base is excellent, never feel...oily at all. The cha shiu are done tender and moist, noodles have the right texture, never too firm / soft, while the egg is to die for!!! Keep it going Menya Musashi! You guys are doing an excellent job!More

This is the place to go for authentic ramen ! It's a cute little restaurant in Shinjuku. You order from a machine and give the ticket to the waiter. They will ask of you want small medium or large! The pork is delicious. It's easy...to find but the signs are in Japanese. See picture attached to see what it looks like from the outsideMore

OVERALL: Counter-sitting, high input/output, classic Tokyo ramen house with a clear broth, chewy noodles and a deck of card or more of thick cut pork per steaming bowl. You want to the classic ramen house experience of hot bowl, slurp it up, and go satisfied?...Menya offers it. FOOD: Stars are the thick cut pork slices and the collagen ladened clear broth. The pork was cut like thick pork belly but was all pressured cooked pork meat. I’m used to US places that do the fine slicing so this was a treat to have to take 3-4 bites per chunk to complete a piece. You get three chunks in your bowl. The soup is clear with little cloud or fat. You get the stickiness that comes from bones being boiled down to their essence. AMBIANCE: Hard wood lined room with L shaped counter configuration. No tables. THE DANCE: Come in, line up, get to the ordering machine, order & Pay, hand ticket to chef when asked, keep moving down line, get seated at next open seat when invited, Prep for food, enjoy your food while it’s hot, wash it down, and on your way so the next customer can get their delicious share. TIPS & TRICKS: - YEN ONLY. No credit cards accepted. - LINE. Moves quickly so you are good for a 15 min wait if in the line past the automated doors. - PACE. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy the flavors but part of the fun and Tokyo-ness is to eat at the pace of the other diners. Also it’s ramen house edicate.More

This place came recommended by a Japanese who lives in Melbourne. It was disappointing and not worth the effort. Firstly, it was difficult to find, even with a Google Maps! Secondly, there is no English on the outside to confirm you have reached the right...place. Thirdly, far from being “the best ramen in Tokyo”, it is ordinary at best. I left feeling disappointed and wishing I had done my own research - rather than blindly accepting the single recommendation of someone just because they were Japanese. The restaurant is 5 mins walk from Shinjuku Station (west exit), and should have been straightforward, but it wasn’t. We probably passed at least 5 other places that could have been better. I’d say don’t bother with this one.More

Ramen was great I luckily had a delicous food and met this wonderful friend in this restaurant even though I came here by myself. We talked about city architectures and beers over the world and that time I really enjoyed having interesting conversation. Hope I...can visit this restaurant again and see him before he leaves after his 6-months internship.More

We will have ramen here in Shinjuku every time we are in Tokyo. The quality is no longer as before. The noodle is not springy as before and a bit thicker now.And prices have increased while more ramen shops popped up around this area.
