Overall its a safe choice for fine dining business meal as you will get a base line good dining experience. But must say the menus are veering toward uninspiring these days.

Pierre Gagnaire is known for is extremely creative taste association. On the paper, they usually don't sound logical but in the mouth, it is a paradise. During our visit, we have enjoyed the degustation menu. From the start, we were reaching perfection - i have...enjoyed a lot the verrine that was containing ice cream / iced banana and scalops! it fit so well together. The egg with truffle was another great memory of this menu. The full team make a great job to make us feeling comfortable and welcome!More

We had eaten at Pierre Gagnaire twice in London. The first time was extraordinary, the second a mess. So, we decided to give him a chance in Tokyo. Mistake. Colors and flavours comparable to a two year old finger painting, the tastes on our plates...warred with each other. The online menu, additionally, had a la carte items; the restaurant offered only tasting menus. Finally, do you thing it reasonable to spend $1000 and get overcooked fish?More

I was treated to the full lunch extravaganza by a dear friend and was not disappointed. As it was a weekday and lunch, we got a direct view of Tokyo Tower overlooking Akasaka. A fine mist added to the drumroll of what was to come....Mignardises served on a thick slab of maple wood, green melon sorbet with lemon flavored Grey Goose and pink grapefruit jelly, models of cuttlefish with chive scented oil. The red cabbage soup with cardamom was interesting with bits of Saint-Pierre cheese to bite into. The langoustine which was served sautéed would have been better off without the slice of salty Iberian ham that covered it as its flavor is so delicate that it’s best prepared simply. The smoked paprika powder that had been dusted decoratively was a nice touch. The grilled sea bass was nesting in a red beet sauce was good but lacked a little je ne sais quoi... The pièce de résistance was the Challans duck slices roasted salmis style and the very accommodating waiter came to drizzle a sauce made of wine reduction and duck blood and this was truly marvelous. I wanted seconds. And this is because in these types of Michelin stared establishments one is often faced with microscopic morsels in very large dishes, works of art more then actual “food”, as it were. For wines, we began with a very lovely Champagne, and continued with a 1er Cru Chablis, and for the duck switched to a nice Pinot Noir from Alsace by Pierre Frick. The deserts were good but not memorable, but the espresso coffee was very good. The service was impeccable and the staff very kind and friendly.More

We was celebrating our Honeymoon in Japan and what a perfekt clousure for a fantastic stay to have dinner at the two star Michelin restaurant at Ana Intercontinental in the Roppongi district. The meal started with jopanese tastes and gradually mixed with with the well...known French tastes. It showed the link between the Japanese and the French cuisine in a very elegant way. Top service and a memorable night.More

We stayed in ANA Intercontinental and so booked the restaurant for dinner. We thought its just another fine-dinning restaurant. Wow, in all aspects, it exceeded our expectation. View from the high floor is stunning. We did not get to to see the Tokyo Tower but...its good enough, the lighted-up building were below us. They have thoughtfully spaced out the guests so that we did not get disturbed by the conversation of other guests. Service was top notch. The manager checked on my food allergies and explained detailed ingredients of each course of meal to ease my mind. The most impressive was the food. We did not choose the degustation menu as there were quite a number of courses that I could not take. We chose from the ala carte menu for starter and main course. I gave thumb-up to the welcome finger food & amuse. We were delighted by the presentation and then enjoyed the taste. The starters, seemed simple but was presented as a few small dishes. We had different starters and so that table was filled with small plates. I do not know how to describe the presentation but we just loved it. The main dish was presented in similar manner. I had duck and it was cooked to perfection. The accompaniments & duck cooked in other ways were plated in smaller dishes of similar design. Desserts were thoughtfully presented: 3 items of fruit-based dessert which were refreshing and then 2 milk-based dessert. All of them were just marvellous. We have all enjoyed the dinner. Visited at lunch time with my wife to celebrate a special occasion. The venue offers spectacular views of the Tokyo skyline from different angles within a spacious and comfortable environment. Very courteous and attentive staff beginning with the French Maitre in line with what you...would expect from a restaurant of this calibre. We had the Christmas special menu and every dish was so complex with many ingredients cooked to perfection. Finding out how those ingredients sometimes unexpectedly match with each other is pure joy. Thanks for making our anniversary memorable and look forward to try the Dubai restaurant hopefully the sooner.More

Staying at InterContinental Tokyo, with booked at Pierre Gagnaire restaurant for a celebration. We sat on a table In front of Tokyo tower and were able to enjoy a great view. Food is amazing with a declination of every dishes in different small portion. The...highlight were the Foie gras and the Beef. Raphaël the Manager and Yatabe the Sommelier made sure we had a special time, which we highly appreciated.More

Excellent service & quality of food, the whole dining experience is memorable with high backed sofa style seats facing the window and Tokyo skyline.
