Course after course of lovely and flavorful blend of exquisite ingredients and textures. Quiet, elegant atmosphere. Not sure why instant coffee was served, however

I had the seven course meal at La Veduta - easily one of my favourite meals since I’ve been in Japan. The truffle pasta was delicious; and I loved the wagyu and foie gras main. Nice touch with the appetisers and cheese. Food is well presented and flavours what you would expect of a 5* hotel restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyable meal would definitely return. One small piece of feedback, I think it would be nice to provide a small menu for the courses, so that the customer can see exactly what they’re going to eat and plan their drinks accordingly. Other than that, fantastic!

I thought to have a better experience in this restaurant. We went for lunch. Very simple cuisine, but with no pick of taste. Carbonara pasta was too much creamy and cook used american style bacon, not guanciale ham or pancetta ham, unfortunately.

Located on the 12th floor of the St. Regis Osaka, my wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner. I booked our reservation through Open Table without issue and requested window seating as it was our 5th anniversary. We were able to receive the requested seating and even got a special "happy anniversary" dessert at the end of our meal in addition to what came with our orders. We ordered two separate course menus and enjoyed all the dishes presented. My highlights for the Summer Truffle course were the Wagyu and risotto dishes. For the Mare E Monti course my highlights were the bonito, casarecce and pork tenderloin dishes. There is an "a la carte" menu available for those not wanting to pay for the course sets or wanting specific items. Would go again to try the other dishes.

We began with a Chardonnay from Bannockburn from Geelong Australia. Great balance and a very pleasant oak. Amuse bouche cheese with home made potato chip. With slivers of almond. The quality of the food and the preparation is spectacular. As good as the best in Italy. My wife had ravioli, mozzarella and tomato basil and pine nuts. I had the scampi, green pea, cream with mozzarella cheese and caviar. Absolutely wonderful. The ingredients were so fresh and delicious. The caviar added that little bit of saltiness. The Kobe beef is worth the trip from Los Angeles. He said he cooks it twice. Searing once then letting it rest. Then cooking in the oven for a minute then searing again before serving. This is cooked perfect medium rare. This is the best steak that I have ever had anywhere. It was sprinkled with Malden sea salt from Wales. The cut was a perfect thickness about one inch thick. Juicy and very tender. It was medium rare all the way through. The carbonara was al dente and the sauce was mild in its Parmesan cheese. I cannot believe the touch that chef Gianluca has. He said he learned a lot from his grandmother in Bologna. Thank you grandmother! The people without exception have been trained to be aware of every need one has. This happens here from everyone. Whomever is responsible for training and selecting the staff needs to be acknowledged. Thank you I will complete my review after returning for tomorrow nights dinner. I just received a beautiful birthday card and origami from our delightful waitress Mana. She was so sweet and a real treat to have as a waitress. I asked her to come to work to be our waitress the next evening. We are back for our second night. Chef Gianluca said he would be happy to make a special spaghetti bolognese for my wife, using beef instead of pork. Yes it is a basic dish but was scrumptious. There is nothing like having a master make your basic dish. Thanks again grandmother. The amuse bouche is potato and veal with a Balsamic vinegar. Cold pasta with sea urchin and caviar. The quality of the sea urchin is the highest level. The caviar complements sea urchin and pasta perfectly. The veal crusted herbs blend with butter and bread crumbs. Rhubarb fresh sauce blended with red wine sauce. Pickled radish. He made a special salad for my wife with tomato, mixed greens, cucumber and red onion. Balsamic dressing. I have to add that they have a very selective wine list. Very appreciate for their dishes. The half bottle of rose from New Zealand was really beautiful and worked really well with the food. The service is of the highest level both nights. I highly recommend this restaurant and particularly Gianluca. Do yourself a favor, come here and if it sounds good to you it will be. The Kobe beef that I had last night and the peas and shrimp scampi and the pasta with sea urchin are worth the trip where ever you hail from. Thank you Gianluca you are a food magician.

Excellent Italian restaurant that draws inspiration from Japanese cuisine. Really happy we chanced upon during our stay in Hommachi. Beautiful decor, with an open kitchen where you can see the amazing chefs work their magic. - Japanese shrimp appetizer was clean and bright dish. Liked the touch on the fried shrimp head. - Wagyu beef fettuccine was extremely delicious. The reduction was buttery, rich and beautifully made. Can’t find a pasta dish like this anywhere else. - Apple and vanilla tart was a very original iteration on a classic dish. I liked that the Apple bits were diced very small instead of large Apple slabs other restaurants usually do. This gave it a very nice texture. The salted caramel ice cream was delicious with it. Only thing I wished was that the base of the tart was a bit thicker and more solid so it holds together better when the tart is split.

While I on short business trip to Osaka, my collleauge reccomened I must try La Veduta. I was absolutely impressed from the moment I walked in the door. World class service and impressive wine advice started the meal. A crisp Friulano white with some of the best mozzarella I have ever tried. Hokkaido scallops and incredible fresh snapper were up next. All the ingredients were very fresh and cooked in a modern yet compelmentary style with respect to the seafood for dishes I ordered. If you want to feel like you are eating in a 3 Michelin Star restaurant in Florence, this is the place to do it! Fantastic!!!

We had an amazing dinner at La Veduta. The chef personally welcomed us. After looking at the delicious menu, we decided that we would like to be surprised by the chef and asked for a 5-course dinner with wine pairings. We were amazed by the quality and finesse of the dishes. Moreover, the sommelier selected beautiful wines that perfectly matched the food. It surprised us that the restaurant did not have a Michelin star, but we heard they are trying to get one. From our opinion, La Veduta definitely deserves one!

My wife and I have followed Executive Chef Gianluca Visani during his career ever since we met him at Barolo Restaurant in Ritz Carlton Beijing now at St. Regis Osaka leading La Veduta Restaurant to new heights! The food tonight was sublime yet simply amazing. We had a surprise menu featuring Hokkaido scallops and an inventive "crispy" lasagna. Truly the service matched the food~exquisite~worthy of a Michelin Star!

We stayed at St Regis & ate here on our first night . We are glad we did as it was spot on all round . Even had the pleasure of executive chef Gianluca coming over for a brief chat . The food is very very good and the atmosphere just right . We both had pasta for mains & I had Hokkaido scallops for entree absolutely brilliant . We just wished we ate there on our second night as well . James the maître d was very friendly & informative so do yourself a favour and enjoy the experience. Note the desserts are truly worth a try I had the “baked” apple with crumble & ice cream thank you very much .... 🍽🍽🍽🍽

We dined at Le Veduta for our final dinner in Osaka while staying at the St Regis--and actually had lunch there the next day, too, to our surprise. WOW. The Executive Chef had met us in the elevator on our first night and insisted he would help us properly celebrate our wedding anniversary. Well, he didn't disappoint. The dinner was extraordinary. We had basically a chef's table, located right adjacent to the open kitchen. Service was out of this world good. And the food was among the best Italian we've ever had--and we've been to Italy for each of the past several years and will be back again this fall! The restaurant is beautiful, but the team really is what makes this place shine. It's absolutely worthy of a Michelin star, and I won't be surprised if the restaurants gets a star on the next review. Massive kudos. Our lunch the next day was a surprise--we didn't expect to eat here before departing for the airport for our trip home. But the chef saw us and invited us back--even as we were dressed only in shorts! Lunch was also sublime. What a restaurant. What a chef. What a team. Michelin awaits.

The ambience in the dining room was formal yet relaxed. The service levels throughout the dining experience provided by Charles were nothing less than perfect throughout the entire meal. Most importantly, the food was simply tasty. I chose the scampi carpaccio and the kobe beef rossini. My compliments and my sincere thanks to the chef. While this restaurant certainly is expensive but I cannot wait to return.

The Hotel is in a great location, close to all downtown attractions. The Italian Restaurant is beautiful, and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make my diner easy and comfortable, especially Charles who was extra friendly, and truly made my diner more enjoyable and easier with very good advices for wines and dishes. Thank you very much Chef for came to speak with us at our table, I really appreciated. The saffron risotto and the veal milanaise was amazing and tasty. I would back here again !

Great restaurant but I’m only giving it a 3 this time around. Been here many times. Actually ate there twice this trip as first dinner not up to par. Send dinner much better. No more pizza go figure that out? And no wild boar this time last few times the wild boar pasta off the charts. This time pasta extremely oily and average. Found out the chef was away maybe that was why. He makes the kitchen come alive this trip the staff were robots with no enthusiasm at all. Waiters the same little English and not suitable for a 5 Star Resturant but all 5 times I’ve eaten there it’s a struggle ordering not used to western people. Next time I cold will make sure the chef is there as much much better experience and happy faces not all sad looking faces as the kitchen in open style.
